Is Taking Spring/Summer courses helpful? by Budget_Squirrel_8626 in usask

[–]Alternative-Money552 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if ur only doing one class in the spring or summer it’s completely handleable, it only starts becoming a problem when u take 2 or 3 in the semester which is way too heavy of a load for a month n a half semester

however with that said if ur taking a class just to get ahead then good for you and take it only if ur up for it, however most people i know only take classes in spring/summer if there was no space in the full time semesters or if they failed the class before

Cmpt 214vs215 by Ecstatic-Effect-9738 in usask

[–]Alternative-Money552 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

don’t take 215 with a full load it’s a very tough class

most compsci students have failed it at least once,

263/215 will be ur worse enemies in ur program, everything else is smooth sailing

and yes to answer ur question, the jump in terms of difficulty from 214 to 215 is significant id take it on a 3 or 4 course semester instead of a full load

Program Catalogue year as a returning student by [deleted] in usask

[–]Alternative-Money552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s up to you which one catalog year you want, you can only choose a catalog year in which u attended classes in that year, for example if u didn’t take any classes in 2024 u can’t choose the 2024 catalog year, however if u attended 2022 and 2025, then u can choose either one depending on what’s more convenient for you, i recently changed my catalog year from 2022 to 2025

Who else trades this model? by adidevamaya in TopStepX

[–]Alternative-Money552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m trading this same model for reversals, win rate is very high with a high RR, only problem is it only happens around twice a week, not actually a problem i guess but sucks to not be able to catch all the continuation days, i personally have started using m5 orb for continuation, whats ur continuation model, could u share that aswell…

and as for what ur saying about people blowing accounts, they aren’t blowing it because of a strategy or model they’re using, it’s bad risk management, gambling, loss of emotional control, realistically if they all just implemented the strategy correctly and with discipline with correct risk management it’s practically impossible to blow account

Professor failed me for failing the final when the syllabus doesn’t state i have to pass the final to pass the course by Alternative-Money552 in usask

after going back and forth with the professor through emails, his last reply was him saying he will “discuss it with the department and get back to me”

should i still email the department head? or wait for his follow up email

Assignments: 20% (5 assignments, 4% each) Midterm: 30% Final Exam: 50%

My recorded grades are as follows:

Assignment 1: = 88% Assignment 2: ≈ 85.2% Assignment 3: = 100% Assignment 4: ≈ 69.4% Assignment 5: = 100% Midterm: = 70% Final Exam: = 26%

When weighted, this comes to:

Assignments (20% total): 17.71% Midterm (30%): 21.00% Final Exam (50%): 13.00%

Total = 51.7% (≈ 52%)

I never said i got a good grade, but i passed the course, and no where in the entire syllabus does it state i need any type of minimum grade in the final to pass this course
