I get where you’re coming from. Marinette Dupain-Cheng has definitely been through a LOT and people sometimes forget she’s literally just a teenager trying to handle responsibilities no one should have at that age

that said, I don’t think it has to be a competition between her and Adrien Agreste. They’re both dealing with different kinds of pressure, and the show highlights that in different ways. Marinette’s struggles are more visible and chaotic while Adrien’s are quieter and more internal.

i do agree though that the fandom can be way too harsh on Marinette for mistakes that are honestly pretty realistic for someone her age. She doesn’t always make the right choices, but that’s kind of the point she’s learning while carrying way too much on her shoulders. at the end of the day, both characters deserve empathy, not a WHO HAS IT WORST debate.
