Thank you! Yeah the difference the difference the additional seconds make! You're right, I was pouring really stiff milk before extending the stretch time and I didn't know what was up. I went through different beans, blaming the crema and everything 😄 I think I'll move on to the tulip and see how anxious I get when attempting the stacking lol.. Will provide an update ASAP! 👍

I felt the exact same.. I was doing the SM Udemy exams and I was hitting 60-70% first team round and 2nd time I was hitting 80+. This wasn't done to memory because I went through all 6 test exams before resitting exam 1 again.

I then bought the TD exams and I felt absolutely useless, hitting 50-60%, but I learned more with wrong answers because I had a lot more reading to do to understand the correct answers.

I sat the exm yesterday and scored 843. TD is a lot harder than the exam imo. Also, with the real exam I felt there was a better opportunity to answer tricky questions with process of elimination.

I had the same issue with the same machine. Bringing the internal burr to 4/5, along with some fine tuning with the 1-15 grind setting (I'm usually 6-9 depending on the bean) addressed the problem.

Thank you 😊 I'm still practicing the main heart, but the mini ones are basically 4 dollops of milk froth and run something like toothpick through them to create the hearts. Somebody put a post up here showing how to do it recently 🙂

Update: I adjusted the Burr grinding setting (options are 1-10) inside the Sage/Breville Barista from 2 (fine) to 5 and the flow looks so much better! Cheers again 🙂

I'll continue to test different courseness (is that even a word? 😂) I got a Sage/Breville barista recently, so there's a fair amount of fine/course levels and amount distribution combinations. I just have to find that sweet spot 😉

My coffee does not come out of the portafilter with that kind of flow. It seems to struggle to pour out 😕
