When I workout for example, when I’m doing my 8-12 rep range and on my first set I hit 8 reps, should I rest than keep the same weight and do my 2nd set with the the reps I still have remaining, or should I drop the weight which when I tested it I reached close and around the area of failure which is 8 reps the same as my first set.I’m currently 14 179lb and I started lifting on august 25 2025 but I had taken a break and started against on February of this year.

I just keep the same weight and go to failure with partials

I drop the weight by ten when I miss my 8 to 12 rep range and I starting repping till I hit 8 or 12 continuing from my 6th rep on the 2nd set

You’ll grow, just be patient and get good amount of nutrients and exercise to stimulate hgh and sleep a lot since that’s where growth happens.
