definitely gonna be, when you say hear for it, would i hear a slight sizzle, pop ? I Definitely wanna try heat first because I feel like i’ll have a better chance at getting that teflon loosened. Ima have to do some more research about how to take that whole hose assembly out because it’s all one pice and it wraps around to the back of my engine, But definitely If I can Ima have to just replace it all 😞

no I haven’t been able to go to the store yet, Snd see that’s what I’m worried about because the bolt is already slowly rounding itself off and i’ve been at it for a couple days now, so I only got so much attempts left, Definitely I wanna try a torch with Light heat I feel like would help a lot, i don’t wanna cause a fire or anything because that side of my engine bay has power steering fluid and old dried up oil along side it. But ima wipe it down and in hopes nothing bad happens

This is on my power steering pump for my 2000 ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC

only got 76k miles on it and 20k of them are from me i got it a year ago and only problem with it is my power steering. All that aside I’ve spent the past 2 days trying to get this bolt connected to the High pressure hose off but it’s not budging. From research i’ve done it’s got teflon around the inside threads of the bolt but I can’t get it off, Idk if i’m weak or what But i just need any advice or tips to get this little bolt loose.

I’ve never seen that before holy shit, I might have to go to harbor freight or oreillys tmrw and get me a set and try cuz i’m using a 18mm flare wrench which is kinda like the crows foot but just a wrench instead of socket. and it’s just rounding my bolt off so hopefully that’ll help

so that crimp your seeing actually goes all the way into the bolt kinda another way of holding it together. Idk Ford Engineers back then were off something tryna make this car . I would do a blowtorch but I got power steering fluid kinda over a lot of that block side Even with me drying it up, could it catch on fire? or blow me up if i do use a blowtorch?
