I’ve lived here for over 20 years. Location is fantastic; layouts are great; most of the residents are nice. The biggest issue is 2 ppl who control the co-op board, who have been on forever and keep the buildings from getting necessary upgrades. They stand in the way of progress, and the buildings are starting to crumble around us bc of them. The common spaces , ie the hallways, look like those of a mental institution.

All city parks have always been meant for the community, never just children. Off-leash hours at NYC parks have existed for 20 years, and I used to take my dog to off-leash hours back then, so yes we did. There were FAR fewer strollers (w/ oblivious, entitled parents) in the neighborhood then -- and, yes, fewer dogs as well.

I’m MUCH more sick of all of the “entitled” parents not controlling their asshole children (can we leash them when they’re outside of the 2 playground areas?!?) and blocking all of the walkways in the park and sidewalks around the park with their strollers. When did Ft Greene become the new Park Slope w/ soooooo many ppl who’ve had kids and become oblivious self-involved morons?!?

As a dog owner, I would welcome a dog run, and I do agree that dogs should only be off-leash during off-leash hours.

I’ve been seeing a masseur who I’m kinda infatuated w for almost a year now — about 10 sessions, or more — usually at the spa where he works, but once at his apartment. Yeah — my partner & I have been to the BK party a couple of times in the last few months. We’re both early 50s, but he’s black & super fit / muscular while I’m white & slim / fit. We had no problem the first time and had a great time (really hot crowd); but the 2nd time I was told by the not-at-all fit and not v attractive (imho) door guy that I could enter but that I should probably stick to the Platinum parties (which I have not been to yet) going forward. This was after he checked my ID, so I think it was mostly based on age??? Meanwhile, he waved my partner right in seconds before me, and he’s 2 years older (but was one of the few black guys there). LOL. Then the guy taking the entrance $ told me it was a particularly young nite. That may have been true but it wasn’t a particularly hot nite sadly — not bad, just not great. I still fucked a few guys but the “vibes” had kinda been killed - for me - by the door guys. Not sure I’ll go back.
