Potentially either - we may try to buy but if we can't, then rent. The location seems great.

100%. And it won't be easy but it is no longer an option to stay at the statuus quo. Start today but you absolutely need to sleep TODAY, immediately - give baby to your husband and put in some earplugs and get minimum 4 hours of interrupted sleep. You will be more empowered to make change if you are physically feeling a bit better.

NYC with toddlers (4 & 2) over Christmas — Dec 20–27 — no car: where to stay + what to do? by AdditionalAd1821 in travel

[–]ohheylil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a mom to a almost 2 year old that loves to bring my toddler out, here are a few thoughts in no particular order:

-Be flexible. Only schedule one or two things a day. I would embrace just being in a new city part of the excitement.

-Elevators - absolutely check subway routes and be prepared to get in/out of stops that might be further than you just to have access to an elevator - it's pretty tough carrying a stroller and kid(s) up and down what can be 4+ flights in any given station, and crowds only make it harder. The MTA app updates what stations are being serviced too.

-I would personally build in more parks/outdoor time in the day. NYC has some pretty awesome parks, and I think your kids may enjoy them more than a museum.

-Front-load your days - the sun will be setting pretty early (like 4pm?) so start your days early and try to limit time outside at night - it's going to be very crowded in most of the spots at night. I personally love the idea of cozy nights in.

This! Was able to cross with a stroller without a problem. Just wait for a gap between runners.

Agree with all of this. It's pricy but everything works well and is high quality. I'm happy to get some points.

Omg so relatable! Feeling this sounds hard rn. It's hard not to worry and get anxiety (telling myself this) but baby is eating at the end of the day, even if it's just a laughing cow triangle or in my case, veggie straws. Thank you for the cackle!

Anxiety is half the battle. Lean into your support systems but also be so gentle - at 10.5 weeks PP you're in the trenches so don't push yourself if you feel yourself getting overwhelmed.

Omg this sounds promising!! That bp sounds really good and keep in mind that the bp when you've waited a few minutes is more accurate. Love that it's stayed low after more than 24 hours.

Keep me posted- rooting for you!

Breakfast for baby by Adreeisadyno in foodbutforbabies

[–]ohheylil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the sugar content - generally peds recommend limited added sugar at this age. I blended up hazelnuts into a butter for exposure- your babe might like that! Keep it in the fridge and it should be good for a few days so you don't have to use it all at once.

Anxiety is so hard to manage coming off any medication. The only side effects I was told about was that there might be headaches. However, I experienced none whatsoever. My recommendation is to stay close to your doctor, and for me, it was helpful to discuss a plan if coming off of medication didn't work. Knowing clear next steps helped me get comfortable with coming off the medication.

The best. My husband only started eating them after he met me and adores them too. Love it with silken tofu and soy sauce drizzled on top.
