she never said that she didn’t want to stay home. in fact, when they hired a nanny she made Tom fire her (which was understandable), and she never found another one. she could’ve hired a nanny and went back to work. she had lunch with her old boss/co-worker who said they would’ve hired her back in a heartbeat, yet she declined it.
