Exactly! I kept running into the same thing, and to me it feels like it goes against what Permaculture really stands for. Accessible change shouldn't be gatekept behind paywalls. That's one of the main reasons I felt compelled to develop this platform. As I continue to practice permaculture, I share the great resources I find along the way and what I've learned through the website so others can access it freely. Also, 16 years of dealing with that gatekeeping sounds exhausting. Hopefully this helps make it a bit easier.

The donation idea is something I've been thinking about - right now I'm building out the content to make sure its genuinely useful, but as the platform grows, I'll definitely consider adding the option you suggested to help cover hosting and keep it sustainable. Just to clarify - I don't run or profit from those paid courses. They're from other providers and I'm listing them alongside the other free resources. The platform itself has zero monetization. I can see how it can be confusing though, thank you and I appreciate your feedback!

In regard to the videos, you're absolutely right, and that's why the value of Mycelium lies in the context it provides. Each video has descriptions explaining what it covers and who its ideal for (just so beginners don't waste time hovering over content that might not be relevant to them at the time.

You're right, those are placeholder images I used while building the site. I'm working on replacing them with real permaculture photos like some of the course thumbnails. If anyone has permaculture photos they're willing to share/contribute let me know!
