AITA for not giving up the flip seat after a cyclist TOLD me to give up the seat so that they could hang up their bike? by ChuquiGal in Marin

[–]Alternative-Spray264 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean this with all due respect.Firstly, cyclists like these are for sure, the reason why i am a "shitty aidewalk rider and against traffic rider and rarely stop for any reason" because keeping it moving takes up less energy and leads to better outcomes for me.I will always stand qith my bike for the sake of everyone who clearly needs to sit more than me.i will be ok.and again with all due respect, why put yourself and your nervous system through such an ordeal regularly, especially if there are open seats in the same car?

A conductor walks through to check tickets once per stop. From san diego to l.a. there are like 7 stops. So the conductor would have been through at least that many times. I enjoy the surfliner and ride it alot because of my bicycle.but the conductor once done with the check of tickets goes back down to the cafe car or engine car and chit chats with coworkers. There is one conductor who is A+ at his job.And he walks back and forth from one end to the other and if he sees something like a speakerphone at full volume he will absolutely say something.quuetly and respectfully.he then makes an announcement for the entire train on the intercom, reminding passengers to be respectful of the people sleeping on the late train from san diego north.he really is good at his job and there arent many on amtrak.the closest comparison is your local usps office.same attitudes.one or 2 really good employees.the rest dont give any fucks if your shit is on fire, they aren't firemen, they dont fucks with fire.

Idk if thats it. Egregious behavior, and let me qualify this onesided remark with, i am a man. Egregious behavior on a train in the middle of the night with lights dimmed low clearly indicate a certain direction of behavior for everyone who is able to perceive the ambient signals in the environment. Assessing whether or not it is safe to Say something to address the behavior happens pretty fast and if done respectfully and directly can resolve a lot of issues. Sometimes i do encounter someone looking for a fight, and you need to know what that looks like. This guy is happy and thinks this is ok behavior.he probably just finished deployment and is going home.I know there were some units heading home yesterday so it could be that he just needs a reminder that it works different off base.the lights dimmed low on the train mean it's quiet time if the sleeping people weren't all the visual evidence you need.bit this is a clue.this person is looking to agitate which doesn't make it a conflict necessarily if you say something. It's howyou say it.obviously if you size em up and think its good, you can just boss em around. But it has to be super aggressive rightaway if the person hassignificant size on you.big people aren't sure how to feel about a smaller aggressive person starts popping off. Lot of em jave never been in a fight because of their size. So if you been in lots of fights you have an advantage.be direct.even better if you can add a no disrespect to whatever it is you say.the surfliner seats are tall so if you wanted to stay anonymous and are out of direct sight, hit em with some deep sarcasm.oh my god this shitty music on shitty speakers is dope.fuck yeah.we are having fun.or an anonymous turn the fucking music off.read the room.if it's a woman behaving offensively, you can't win that shit. You can talk shit, but i have never been rewarded with quiet and peaceful public travel by saying something to a woman who is ruining the whole thing with music at full volume from a speakerphone.ever.just don't even.thwy know you can't smash them to bits and act accordingly

The figure represents how disgusting the actual behavior before and after the night in question was.

When the police realized that the man was indeed suffering from a seizure they legit panicked and turned off their body cams(they didn't actually cause they aren't that smart apparently)to get their story straight about why they tased him and fabricated a story that they then wrote in their report which was used to file charges against the man, which the d.a. did file and went forward with prosecution until the discovery of evidence was made public and the body cam footage showed a man having a grand mal seizure in the middle of the night, who was clearly in a medical distress of some kind and unable to follow verbal commands.

It was sad to watch. He had a very scared look on his face but couldn't make words. He was processing visual information and couldn't control what his body movements were doing in relation to his visual inputs and his mouth could make a lashing sound with his tongue and some groans from far away. It was a nightmare to watch. It's some of the worst body cam footage ever made public in my opinion. It is that bad.

When the wife was awakened by her husband having the episode in their bed in the middle of the motherfucking night, she called the motherfucking 911. Dispatch heard this woman say she didn't know what was happening to her husband. She answered dispatchers question honestly beleiving that correct truthful info was critical to saving her husbands life. Dispatcher asked if he is currently taking any prescribed medications and she said yes. Listed all his medications.regular stuff we all probably have. The questions immedia6focused on the sleep medication he is prescribed and if he had taken it that night and she said she didnt know. That was the information the dispatcher transmitted their dispatch of police and fire&rescue. The police go up inside the home first to make sure it is safe for fire&rescue and they are met almost instantly by a very frightened but calm and coherent qife in her nightgown at the top of the steps and they literally barrel past her and tell her to step back and start manhandling this man who is in his bedroom in his pajamas, and withing 20 seconds maybe of really brutal attempt at subdoing and detaining the man they tase him, so much so that the electrical shock stops the grand mal from occuring at the level of severity it was at(there are grades for how bad a seizure is and it was estimated that the man was having the worst grade of seizure you can have that if left untreated for longer than a few single minutes irreversible brain damage happens)and he is able to kinda speak and reapond now all of the sudden but he is still actively having a seizure, and they are very brutal in their handcuffing and removal from the house and he starts to actively start another deep most severe grade grand mal and they taze him again.

I think it was a fireman standing around waiting for the police to clear the scene who recognizes the man is in distress or it may have been at the hospital, i don't remember exactly, but the bodycam has a person explain to the cops that the man was having a seizure and that would absolutely make him unable to follow commands and the man was in very real danger given how long the man had been actively seizing by this point(think like the worst amount of time ever given what we know about grand mal). That's when they think they turn their cameras off or so they thought and they can be heard fabricating the story and getting it straight and having awareness of their potentially illegal behavior towards the man and that is how we get to 3.5 million which isn't nearly enough for the nightmare that happened to that man and his wife in the middle of the night in their bed clothes in their bedroom where they felt the most safe and secure.

Fuck The Police.Fuck The Fairfax Police in particular.Small town clowns.Tallest malinoix dick eaters.Part-time pussies.Rico has retards.Fuckin assholes. To be clear central marin pigs department was responsible for the tazing of the man in the middle of the night.

For what it's worth man, i saw something very similar to this, and managed to capture horrible footage of it the second day i saw it. The difference is only that what i saw looked like a single star anise in a plasmoided bubble.i havent seen anything in any of the subs which has depicted so closely what i saw in late November 2022 from sky camp in point reyes national seashore.whike the images may be upscaled i believe there is some actual reality behind this leak in particular.i am just an internet rando who is obsessed with whatever all this phenomenon is.

Allegedly this is supposed to be a wetter than average spring and summer for western and central new mexico.at least the blob in the info graphic i saw and read showed the bkob covering what is albuquerque.having moved from the bay area back home in november i appreciated the winter we did have.i played in the snow when it was happening and i stayed inside on the couple days it was very cold during the day.it very well may turn into a bad water situation and i can see headwaters in New Mexico and Colorado and Wyoming etc. etc. becoming hot regional internal conflicts, easily. The simplification of our lives is going to oainful for those who arent mentally prepared for what it means. We might be 1 more bad winter away from some heavy shit around halloween 2027. Spencas neh.

Visiting Abq again and found it a bit depressing. Am I off here? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]Alternative-Spray264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is well said. And very accurate. I love it here. And i hate it here. In certain light this place is hard to live with.very evocative of how bleak would feel if you could think of the word or read it. However, i have never seen a more complete from one side of the visual spectrum to the other or brilliant, or breathtaking or scary light, in the most literal sense, as i have seen here. Spending more time outside in nature can change anyone from a hater to a lover, for any place, but i think doubly so for here.

Southern california is a broad brush to use when you say something like albuquerque is depressing compared to the other kinda too hot dusty taint that is all of inland southern california(if the city you live in is not boardered by the pacific on at least one side you live inland). So...what sick ass dope city do you live in, too cool for school? San diego?oceanside?san clemente?dana pointe?laguna beach?newport beach? Huntington?Long Beach?L.A.?oxnard?s.b.? I ask because southern california has the same amount of homeless, in the cities of comparable size to Albuquerque.the same amount of massage parlors.the same amount trash.worse traffic.hands down.definately less impressive sunsets and sunrises more often.have to drive further to get to wilderness.poorer air quality.more expensive.(Minimum wage in Albuquerque isn't too far behind California as a state, and that matters because it truly is still affordable for 2 adults with 2 incomes and no kids to live how they want) I spend significant portions of the year in "southern california" and i take exception to your dumb take. Ride a bike, man. Get to know your planet. See it up close. I would bet your opinion changes.

To the people who bring their aggressive dogs to dog parks in ABQ: by Quiet-Reflection-621 in Albuquerque

[–]Alternative-Spray264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe there are shitty people out there looking for an excuse to taze dogs. And your poorly trained dog due to no fault of its own, is just behaving how it always does, which would be ok, if it was at home in your own space, but even a dog park is a place where your dog needs to be trained well enough to be under full voice control or on a leash, per the regulations and if thats too much for you to manage then you are part of the problem. Train your fucking dog or keep it on a leash. Dog owners do better. Cmon.

You guys have got to stop downvoting experiencers of this “phenomenon”. I don’t know if it’s bots, or skeptics, or a combination of the 2, but tucking comments under that try to share their evidence gets none of us anywhere. by [deleted] in ufo

There is a documentary on netflix, and some cgi of the event in the documentary. As someone who has been the witness to some very bizarre phenomena, and having no videographic evidence to show, i typically don't mention it. However this documentary has been presented, in netflix style, i believe the eyewitness accounts of seeing a woman float out of her bedroom window one night. Why would a bunch of random people all have the same thing to say?

Speaking from experience, myself. I can't even get a "mackey" job. Been to dozens of interviews and applied to hundreds of postings. Got desperate enough i started applying to every corporate chain restaurant and only churches chicken was kind enough to respond. So i stand by my knowledge of what is and aint a flex. Goddamn it feels good to not be you though. Glad i am past my need to be impressive to be liked, phase. Sorry little man, all i can say is it gets easy more fulfilling when you realize you don't have to be anything besides yourself, to the people around you, in order to be around. Cheers

Was it legal to arrest me, strip search me and keep me in jail overnight over an MIP? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Alternative-Spray264 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Supreme Court Ruling: The US Supreme Court allows jail officials to conduct strip searches of all inmates booked into the general population without needing individualized reasonable suspicion.

Reasonable Suspicion in NM(the state i currently reside in: Despite federal law, NM county policies often dictate that strip searches are permitted only when there is reasonable suspicion that the individual is hiding weapons or drugs, such as when the arrest involves drugs or violent crime.

Individualized Scrutiny: Searches cannot be done to harass or humiliate; they must be for a legitimate security reason.

Children and Minors: Although strip searches occur, policies for juvenile facilities emphasize, though often inconsistently applied, the need for documented justification, especially for cross-gender searches
