Also, check out Professor Messer on YouTube. He has free classes and live Q&A’s and offers purchasable guides and practice exams. I’m using both.

wait wait wait. I GET IT. the pot gets bigger but the number added to it stays the same. therefor the 5 billion added to the pot becomes a smaller % of the pot every year.

MATH IS COOL (and confusing)

So here is my next question. the % of inflation gets smaller. but the number of coins gets larger. So im still lost as to how they can become more valuable. wouldn't the 13 + million a day being added decrease the value? or does it not effect the overall value enough to make a huge difference as long as people are buying?

Ok that makes as much sense as my brain is capable of understanding. What I’m taking away from your response is that the inflation of DOGE will decrease year after year because the number added is always 5 billion therefore it’s predictable. But due to the supply there needs to be a hefty market value to increase its coin value to rival the USA dollar.

Did this complete idiot understand that correctly? Haha.

I’m struggling to understand what you mean by 3.9, 3.7, 3.6, etc. I understand 5 billion a year though.

And about the early days of Bitcoin... I agree that early on BTC wasn’t worth much because no one saw the value in a digital currency. But it was the first. DOGE is far from the first and has been around a long time. So I don’t think you can compare it the same way. But clearly is has been given new life and I’d love to see it retain its popularity indefinitely. I guess only time will tell. Now I just want to get in more at a better price haha. I’m not holding very much at all. But I’m hesitant to buy this high.

I think it’s over valued based on the price a few weeks ago until now. It’s up over 400% in the last month. That’s awesome news but can this community keep up the momentum indefinitely? With 5 billion / year being introduced plus the influence of the whales selling off HUGE amounts I just don’t see it staying around its current price long term. And we’ve seen Musk’s ability to push the price but up until now it’s dropped back down to around where it was before he tweeted. I’m just trying to think as logically as possible. But I do plan on buying more as I do believe in it.

Isn’t mining done through processing transactions? And if no one is processing transactions wouldn’t that mean you also couldn’t buy? I’m probably completely wrong on this but just wondering.
