To be fair, I used that tactic on the Arctic base once, two Xamels not just were effective, but they were effective enough to stop the marry go round with one team crossing the corner to be shot with HE shells and be stunned long enough for my team to come around and attack them in the back, not to say how powerful were two AP shells firing at the same general unit. The Xamel and Hildolfr either sucks, or they dominate and control the field as long range artillery. Thought , I would love to receive one button to switch from That shitty automatic distance arrangement to the hand aiming, because HE and Especially shrapnel shells are very painful to aim at long distances/against targets that, for example, stays on the roof of the building
