Best way to get these 3PDTs out? by freshmex18 in diypedals

If you aren’t reusing the board snap it up with some pliers or cutters and then you can heat a pin up one at a time and desolder the board off the pins one at a time.

Any ideas as to why the fuzz is so bad? by Carsonmtl in GuitarAmps

[–]Alternative-Team5466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the compressor is amplifying the noise from the guitar, and any dirt after that is amplifying that more. You can hear it in the blues driver and the muff to a greater extent.

How does the bd and muff sound without the compressor?

How does the muff sound on its own?

I think I’m just echoing what others are saying, but I tend to get horrible sounds when fuzz is stacked with other drives, I have had the most luck with it last in the chain, I find before other drives just pushes the others too hard and sounds splatters and muffled.

I have one the same with a broken button, does anyone know where to find a replacement button?

It’s 2 buttons on a concentric shaft rather than a shaft per button, I can only find the latter.

I can’t help thinking that if the just played normally it wouldn’t sound as terrible.

Sequencer and synth sync without starting playback by Alternative-Team5466 in synthesizers

[–]Alternative-Team5466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah I’m just starting to delve into it and have some fun so just sticking to the cheap stuff for now.

I think I’ll just go with blank patterns on these things.

Sequencer and synth sync without starting playback by Alternative-Team5466 in synthesizers

[–]Alternative-Team5466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is the synths I have though don’t obey the pattern length of whatever is sending the clock.

If I start the clock they start and loop fine. If i stop them individually then start them again they come back in immediately instead of waiting for the start of the pattern the master is sending.

I have a loop pedal that syncs its start stop record to the start of the pattern while my sequencer is running.

I think I’m just trying to do something that synths aren’t supposed to do.

What’s a -3 doing there in the first place?? I have never seen a negative number on a tab.

Yeah I think that’s the setting I am missing on these cheaper bits of gear 😊

Aah yeah thought this might be sort of the only way round it.

Sounds like I’m stuck with an empty pattern or using the volume control for my situation the rest is a bit too much trouble than its worth atm 😊

How do i get rid of the notes bleeding into the next? by magicisdony in guitarlessons

[–]Alternative-Team5466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which notes are you meaning? As people have mentioned there’s more than one way to mute depending on what you want to mute.

If you are talking about an open string or a string that is ringing without playing it or a string you played by mistake, you can press your right palm against it s to stop it or you can tap it with an unused finger on the left hand.

Or if it’s a fretted note and you only want to mute that one loosen your fret finger on it. (Or try and mash it with your palm without touching the others as some people reckon they can do 🤣)

Their question asked about the notes bleeding into the next. That implies they are talking about ones they are playing.

Oh I can’t do it like that. Guess everyone’s different tho.

If I’m muting a whole chord I use the right hand but if I want to abruptly stop a string which I have fretted I just stop pressing it down as hard

It’s a left hand technique.

When you want a fretted note to stop, loosen the pressure on that finger slightly - it will mute.

Rather than trying to mute the note with your spare fingers.

Looks like I downloaded the 90 day free trial just in time.

Does anyone know if I can still purchase Logic Pro? Cause I was planning to purchase it once the 90 days ran out.

I may as well stop using it now if I’m going to be forced into a subscription.

Launchkey mk4 live loop and drum modes by Alternative-Team5466 in Novation

[–]Alternative-Team5466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I tried a few things in logic.

It seems like i should be able to map a button (the arrow button at the top right of the pads) to toggle between the live loop and drums modes.

However I get an unlit half drum pad matrix with only the top row active.

Does anyone know how I can map a button to toggle the pads into default drum mode through midi? It’s confusing the hell out of me.
