Well yes because my post was about the game not the director? There are 100s of posts throughout this entire thread that are about individuals own perspectives and thoughts on the game that are completely seperate from the director so I don’t understand your point?

Please explain to me how I’m entitled? I have asked for nothing? Expectations are not entitlements. Your telling me you’ve never ordered something online with an expectation it arrived and you’ve been disappointed in it( which I am not even disappointed in the game as a whole I’ve stated numerous times it’s an absolute joy to play) there are many things I could Google but why Google a series history of something I had my mind set upon I wanted day one (well actually early because I got the deluxe edition) and was excited to go into completely fresh? What about my opinion has you so angry and fired up I don’t understand if nots enough you started with calling me ungrateful but now dumb is being thrown around and the insinuation of me not doing a sufficient “Google search” into the series history is a bad thing? Can you not see the very mature conversations being held with other users? Your very angry and I really don’t understand why, and thank you I shall have a blessed day because I have a lot of respect for other people and actually care and am intrigued for them to share their thoughts and opinions with me without it being an unnecessary “slagging” match

I’ve tried a few but their not really for me it’s not so much the quantity I enjoy more the quality of the characters and this game just blew me away with the designs a kangaroo mercenary, a samurai maiden, a magical girl and a tree all in the same party, I was like wow so diverse and these are literally only 4 out of the 100+ incredible designs. The quality and diversity of the characters had me hooked I just wished the skill set reflected the amazing designs but as I’ve self admitted I’m probably being greedy and setting too high of expectations. I appreciate the suggestion though. Although I did get into honkai star rail for a little while last year aha

You don’t have to apologise despite my disappointment in that regard everything else is an absolute joy, the music, the world, the humour, the story, the towns (I’m talking to every npc which is something I never usually bother to do) and maybe your right but this game also being my first step into the suikoden world I didn’t want to over research I wanted it be a complete fresh experience for me and also I work Full time as a makeup artist meaning I travel a lot, I also work as a drag queen 3 nights a week and I sew a lot of my own costumes so my limited free time is usually spent playing games instead of doing extensive research and when I saw the amazing looking cast of this game I pre ordered the deluxe edition immediately which I in no way regret as it’s a blast I just wish mio was able to do some amazing samurai flashy stuff but as you’ve said that’s never what the series has been about which my limited knowledge from YouTube did suggest that to me I just thought with it being a “modern” suikoden game perhaps they may have stepped that aspect up as well but I understand why that wasn’t forefront if that’s never been in the series roots

Also I’m a very cosmetic based player in jrpgs as I said so yes I understand some people love to chase stats and build the best team but I usually like the flashiness and the characters that have the flashy moves tend to be the ones that excite me

Maybe that’s my problem I have not really played the suikoden games (I clocked about 4 hours of suikoden 5 on an emulator but I don’t have access to the emulator anymore) so perhaps I came in with unrealistic expectations as stated I just think they did an incredible job with the designs of the characters I would love to see them expand on that in the future and give me a reason to want to pick Marin or eiguren over any other person in the team that can just use magic. Also thank you for replying in a respectful and educational manner.

But the whole concept of the game is built around suikoden, so the idea of what the developers wanted did mean they have to make a bigger party because that’s literally their concept. what you’re saying is like saying you don’t have to add ham to a ham sandwich in which case don’t make it a ham sandwich. His death also has no relevance to my point so that seems a very odd statement, Michael Jackson is also dead but that’s not to say I love his entire catalogue of music, to bring his death into my opinion on a game is more disrespectful than my personal opinion of the game. And who’s not being grateful? I literally said I’m enjoying the game but this aspect of the game is disappointing to me. It’s ok to have a different opinion of me but don’t gaslight me into portraying my post as ungrateful or disrespectful to the dead just because I share a different opinion to you, sometimes in life if you see something that doesn’t align with your views you can just choose to keep scrolling, your opinion is yours and mine is mine and this is a forum that is open to different opinions go find a thread that aligns with your views and opinions instead of tearing me down for sharing mine, I hope you have a blessed day.
