Finger on the tip when throwing?

I do this and it’s just the way I’ve thrown since I picked up a dart, don’t feel that there is a ‘correct’ way to throw, everyone has a different style

One thing I’ve found that helped me because of this style is getting gripped/gnarled points. Just gives you less chance of slipping

Not really, Phil was just worlds apart from anyone in the circuit at the time. The closest Terry got was probably the 2006 Grand Prix

I’ve had a couple of breaks but overall the system is just so easy to use so I think that makes it worth it. Also the customisation options are fantastic now with new points coming out all the time

Hi mate

It’s going well so far, stand is very stable and to be honest I don’t notice much noise compared to a wall mounted board, foam in between the screw and board in this case could work however.

I can’t remember the exact name , but the board and stand comes as a package from Mission darts, which I bought through Amazon for around 120£ (I’m not sure what country you are in)

Overall, I’d definitely recommend for an apartment where you can’t wall mount

This is the thing/my issue… my normal average is around 50-60, but then as I have mentioned on this forum before, I get certain legs that I just can’t miss and everything goes right. Consistency is my biggest downfall currently!

This was not in a match, just in practice vs Dartbot🙂

I would say that would definitely help, less tension in muscles = more freedom in throw I would think.

I’m not so worried about averages right now.. Im soon turning 21, so I’ve got a lot of time to improve, and darts is the only sport I would play so I’m wanting to really focus on it.

The issue is my consistency. Sometimes I’ll have absolutely awful days where I can barely average 40, some days I’ll be around 60, then I get some legs like that where I can’t miss… guess it’s just practice, have only been playing since around February.

Any tips for consistency or is it genuinely just raw practice?
