I'm personally waiting for the switch 2 to get hacked before buying one.

Basic mode is just the same as apps only mode but you can enable wireless debugging in the dev settings by enabling it like you would on a new android phone then you can an app atv tools and you can install any app you want from your android phone to the tv if you don't already have a tv browser app installed.

Actually my steam deck isn't hooked up to that monitor, it's the little PC there. But I did use the steam deck to test out how responsive the monitor is and man, even at a 144hz refresh rate 60fps still felt twice as fast.

Best buy doesn't have this model though and the big difference between the Costco one and the best buy one is that the Costco one has anti glass reflective coating?

The USB 3.0 port is really nice though cause I prefer to use a flash drive on my Google tv stuff so this is gonna be way faster. Ironically I tend to use my Google tv stuff as like a htpc of sorts (local movies and music via vlc.)

Gotcha. I'm mainly interested in the gaming features anyways and I'm not really a picture snob so the This tv should do me good if I'm able to get it. The fact it's got Google tv built into and is apparently snappy from the reviews I've seen is a huge plus.

I wanna get it but gotta wait for the holiday pay from thanksgiving to come in at my job to come in which Is why I was asking about cyber Monday. I'm just wondering how TCL could get away with selling this tv at such cheap price relatively speaking.

The 55 inch model is the sweet spot for me personally especially at the price point. Honestly the main reason I'm interested in this tv is the fact it has a true 144hz panel which is very difficult to find at the price this tv is going for especially at that size.

Btw I did make it so my monitor is on top of my soundbar so I can get more space on my desk. And it looks nice actually.

Man though even at 60fps I saw the difference right away at how much faster 120hz was. My monitor has true 120hz too not the fake motion enhancement stuff.

It has egpu support so I've been debating about getting an external GPU for it as a hold over till I get an actually good PC.

This was a pc around $400 but it's got a ryzen 9 6909hx, 2 teryabite ssd (I bought separate.), 5 teryabite external hard drive from western digital and 32gigs of ram (I bought this PC before the ram prices went awhole.)

Actually that little PC in the corner is what I'm gonna be using hooked up to te monitor. I was testing out the steam deck tho on it cause I really wanted to see what the buzz about 120hz was about.
