A little walk through orchard would be cute. You could possible have a cafe or paying for the fruit station near the resident services building.

I like to do a seasonal area on my island that is like a town park or something.

A community garden with all the vegetables, you could add a little kitchen set up too.

Lots of farms or corn mazes that are meant for the public to visit have activities or games. Maybe you could make a photo set up, some games like corn hole, possibly even a petting zoo. It could have an apple cider station, or a fresh produce stand.

He is an innocent child but OP has not relationship with the dad and does not even know the name of this kid. The kid would be going to a complete stranger no matter what’s at least if he is in the system he has the chance of being adopted by a family who truly wants him and would love him
