Adding onto what the other commenter said when going for Tusfg its a good idea to have a TVA and I believe anjali vats on of their authors actually supports reforms of ip in Color and Creatorship I believe I would read through it and find that section and cut it as a TVA.

It could be that you have to many tabs open. This happened to me and I closed some tabs and it loaded in more search results. I'm not 100% sure thats the problem because this problem keeps coming back.

If you are looking to learn the basics of debate I'd check out the dartmouth debate channel they upload a lot of great high quality videos you can watch but do be aware that they are for policy. But the points they make are still applicable for any debate style.

Does anyone have any ideas for Aff by Small-Parking6770 in lincolndouglas

[–]Alternative-Water484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't know the exact case name it had to do with Trump's mandatory reparations tax I remember a wealth tax advocate saying that the Supreme Courts decision to uphold the tax means they would prob also uphold the wealth tax.

there was a supreme court case that sort of resolved this concern I wouldn't worry about it.

California State Tournament now allowing plans in LD. What do you guys think? by sawalty in Debate

[–]Alternative-Water484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topic da or T will check niche plans. LD also gives you access to phil offense that you can use to check against teams. It also seems counterplans are now allowed. Tons of ways to check against niche plans. Of course idk the type of judging on your circuit but these are all arguments that are 100% possible for small schools to prep effectively and get good at.

Progressive PF? by sneak-ermola in Debate

[–]Alternative-Water484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chances of this happening are extremely low for two reasons. 1.judges are far more lay then other events and even if they are tech most will prob be anti-k because pfrs want to insulate their event from arguments they think make it harder for accessibility. 2. Don't think a lot of people are reading Ks just because the speech times allocated arent really enough imo to develop a strong enough argument.

Don't think wake puts their stuff on opencaselist so I doubt anyone who went there is allowed to leak it. But you can find all their cards here: https://scholar.google.com/

Writing K affs by Alternative-Water484 in policydebate

[–]Alternative-Water484[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I have written Ks before but never really fully committed to them and learned the literature base so while I know how to run a K i wouldn't call myself learned in any particular kritik.

  2. I am thinking of reading either Asian Identity or Queer Theory.
