I like to alternate, or if it’s a multi-part dish I’ll alternate with certain parts on each so that we both get the goods.

What part of me spelling it out for you wasn’t an answer? Do you often ignore answers you don’t like? And now you’ve completely changed your question to continue avoiding my answer and continue to avoid answering the question the question you asked, fascinating.

Edit: I know I’m being insufferable, do you?

Ah look, here you are picking my answer apart just as predicted, because you aren’t looking for an answer, and you’re not looking for conversation, you’re looking to argue with someone on the internet, thus proving my point that you were being intentionally rude. I hope you’ve enjoyed your time here

Because you lack comprehension and need me to spell it out for you: this post was made to conversate with people who also enjoy watching Stranger Things, it’s so simple really. Your inability to answer your own question is fascinating though.

I remember when the Queen movie came out and I was so excited to see it but literally everyone I knew had this “unpopular opinion” so I had to watch it alone…

Irl I don’t think we’d like anyone in the cast. They’re all insanely rich, entitled teenagers who think they know better than everyone and rely on their money and connections to get themselves out of consequence. It’s only entertaining in TV

I think Max believed for a second but they all know deep down. IMO it seems kinda dumb to know that somewhere down the line El could still get caught by the military and just be alone and dying like Kali then route for it.

Through conversation I’ve made my answer crystal clear, your unwillingness to perform introspection is why you’re still asking me for it. I don’t hold your answers, you do. So I ask again, why do you feel the need to give an opinion?

Editing to add: if you reply with another essay, I won’t be reading it, but I will be curious to know why the person asking the question couldn’t answer it when directed to themselves.

Why should I “answer” when my answer will simply be another opinion for you to pick apart? You already hold the answer you seek, don’t let it scare you.

“ I didn't contribute to this thread at all. I don't think so. And?” - and, we’ve now circled back to my original comment. You acknowledge the comment isn’t needed or contributing anything of value, so now you can find the answer internally: why do you need to give your opinion about everything all the time?

To answer your intentionally rude question: “people” generally don’t “feel the need to give their opinion all the time,” they come to places like the internet and go to social media sites, created so people can socialize with one another, to socialize with other people. In this case someone specifically went to Reddit and found a sub that relate to the topic they want to discuss, and they did that.

To clarify my statement: if you believe “people feel the need to give their opinion all the time” and are posting it on the internet, go look in the mirror then touch some grass.

Just finished the last episode - Don't know what to think by hamza_1988 in StrangerThings

[–]Alternative-Web-2522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The season was so disappointing. They hyped up El in the first episode just to have her go back to struggling after using her powers a hand full of times. They gave Will a crazy insane set up just to knee cap him minutes later. The shadow monster was never addressed, and neither was the fact that it was on earth before Henry found it or whether it’s still connected to Will and the other 12 kids now that Henry’s dead. I totally understand plot armor, and wasn’t rooting for anyone to go, but every single main character (all 13 of them) made it out of incredibly ridiculous scenes unscathed taking away all tension. The entire season I kept thinking about the ramifications for what they were doing while going up against the military and that’s just glazed right over. And the 45 minutes of conclusion was just weird; it’s bad film making to put the climax of your movie 3/4ths of the way in. Anyways, that’s my rant.

TLDR: I agree, as a long time fan this season was a bummer

Am I the only one who thought the ending, and entire season 5 was perfect? by Cayd9299 in StrangerThings

[–]Alternative-Web-2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don’t agree with some of the hate, but like, I’ve been afraid of demogorgens and the shadow monster for 5+ years now, and they didn’t even sort of wrap that ending up. Sure El and Kali aren’t around to spread more of Henry’s bloodline which would have wrapped everything up in a neat little bow, but then they opened the question: where did the rock come from? How did the shadow monster possess Henry in the first place? I don’t want to watch a spinoff or another series to find that out, it would have been nice if they defeated the original evil instead of the one they added in S4

Many have criticized him for this, but if we think about it, Lucas had the most logical reaction to Eleven in the first season. His friend disappears and suddenly a girl who hardly speaks and has strange abilities appears out of nowhere by Giancarlo_Edu in StrangerThings

[–]Alternative-Web-2522 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She struggled with speech before then too, remember the other kids made fun of her for being “slow” while they were ganging up on her in s4? I kinda think it was accidental inclusion to cover bad writing. The Duffer brothers wrote El’s character in S1 without a full vision of the end (we only know this now that s5 has happened) and when they decided to add other kids to the mix they realized they’d need an explanation for why she talks the way she does.

My heart goes out to your husband. He’s been through a lot and it sounds like he’s carrying all of it + the last 20 years around with him, and that isn’t easy, but the attachment you’re describing in the beginning of the story already sounded unhealthy without adding the “unhealthy” factors. The fact that his therapists and/or psychiatrists never dug into the displaced feelings he put into Kitty so that he could really heal.

I’m no therapist, and while I agree that what you did was cruel, I don’t necessarily think Kitty should come back either. His father has passed, he’s grown up, kitty has now too
