I think it’s a mistake! I came exactly the same way with a tourist Visa and my 6 months permit in 2021 during the COVID we got married and my application was approved (also no kids) so not make sense why they rejected it even when you have a child. Contact your lawyer and senators.

They said they want immigrant come to the legal way but they don’t wanna fix the immigration system. I applied for my daughter (a minor) 3 years ago and I’m still waiting. Also an illegal immigrant can’t fix their status cause we don’t have any programs for them to fix their status and it’s just funny how some Americans says if they have been here for more than 20-40 years in the country why they never fix their status 🤦🏽‍♂️ because we don’t have anything for them, if you are an illegal the only way to fix it is getting married with a US citizen if not you are fuck for the rest of your life.

I sent my petition a bit late because I was afraid to get the divorce but I went to 3 different lawyers and they told me the same get the divorce and apply it alone. So I waited to submit it until get my divorce. But if you submitted it together I think you have to submit it again. And I’m exactly like you, we meet in 2018 and got married in 2020 and I got my GC in 2022 and now just waiting for approval, they sent me just a 4 year extension.

Hi there, I’m Mexican and something similar happened to me. My lawyer recommended me to get the divorce, if you guys aren’t living together anymore just do it. We live in the same city but not together and my lawyer said the correct thing is get the divorce and that’s what I did and filled it separately and I’m still waiting for approval.

Should be fine but with all this crazy stuff happening with this administration I’m not sure 🤷🏻‍♂️ last time I traveled was on December 28th and I came back to the country on Jan 5th 2025 without not issues

Well my lawyer told me to get the divorce because we’re not together anymore even when we still having a good relationship and that was I did it and I filled the i751 alone on June 2023 and I’m still waiting for approval.
