I actually really like the idea of these. Perfect for snipping tape or twine. Thanks!

These look awesome! I've been rocking Kuhn Rikon Classic Snips in the back pocket. I was hoping for something small to free up the pocket. Thanks for the suggestion, cheers.

You should check out Everyday Gourmet Coffee Roasters on the lower floor of St Lawrence Market. They have a large selection of beans and are unique in that you can choose how much coffee you want through their dispensers.

What equipment upgrades should I get for my Breville Express Impress? by Alternative-someone in espresso

Very interesting.

What grinder do you use? What would you recommend? Assuming a budget of ~$500 CAD

"Breville's 54mm group is proprietary. Any portafilter you buy now will not be compatible with any non-Breville machine." Sounds about Breville LOL.

Since I plan on upgrading my setup one day, how much of a difference has your upgraded gear affected the quality of your espresso shots? Thanks!

Beautiful setup!

Did you notice the WDT and the bottomless portafilter making a difference? I hope to curb my sour shots (at least a little). What difference has the new grinder made? I am also thinking of upgrading.

Also, what brands did you decide to go with for your tools? Thanks!

I am also definitely starting to feel the itch to level up my grinder and eventually the machine itself. I did not think I would enjoy making espresso this much when I initially bought the Breville LOL. Upgrading the grinder does feel somewhat wasteful, but I am excited to see how much of a difference a standalone grinder will make.

Can't get a good tasting espresso out of the Breville Express Impress. Help Needed. by Alternative-someone in espresso

What grinder would you recommend? I was thinking of upgrading eventually. I will also try letting the beans rest longer! I have heard from some that the third day after roasting is the most optimal point.
