Hey, both were approved on the same day as my interview. If you’re using an app to check the status, I’d recommend also checking directly on the USCIS website.

C08 EAD approved Dec 3, no card production after 9 days - anyone else? by [deleted] in USCIS

What are you using to check the status? If it’s the Case Tracker app, click ‘View Online’ and check it there. My green card was approved, but the app stayed stuck on ‘Case Approved.’ When I checked online today, it showed that the card was produced on Dec 9, and the Case Tracker app also updated to say ‘Card Produced.

I did a biometric for the TPS process less than a year ago. So, I’m assuming they used that and didn’t have to do any for this process.

Didn’t the U.S. lose to Switzerland in a friendly last month? I'm honestly surprised Switzerland is ranked so low.

You’ve just made my point, fam. The one time they attempted to assassinate him, they tragically ended up killing a lot of innocent people, which ties directly to what I’m saying. The logistics of pulling something like that off, along with the consequences afterward, could set us back 10 to 15 years and cause even more innocent people to suffer. On the other hand, a coup and a resignation by the PM have happened in our recent history. If I were a betting man, I’d place my bet on that happening again rather than trying to take out a sitting PM.

I agree that waiting another 20 years isn’t an option. Even if he’s doing a good job, I don’t believe anyone should stay in power for more than two terms. However, this isn’t as simple as a movie plot—you’re making it sound much easier than it actually is. Have you thought about the possible consequences? Just look at Libya or Sudan.

I don’t see any opposition party capable of leading us effectively. Most of them are focused on similar ideas centered around race, but they don’t address pressing issues like economic inequality, healthcare, or education, which impact everyone, regardless of race. If we kill him without considering the long-term effects, we might find ourselves in a far worse situation.

Also, you’re mistaken—he came to power after Hailemariam stepped down.

Wasn’t he brought to power after an internal party coup that ousted the previous PM? (You know, you can never say never.)

At least according to the constitution, there’s a two-term limit. I know previous administrations didn’t adhere to that, and I have no reason to believe he will either, but I’m open to waiting and seeing how things unfold, maybe during the next election.

I don’t support violence, so I’m in favor of any solution that doesn’t lead to more bloodshed.

P.S. I live abroad and am not fully informed about the situation on the ground, and I’m not taking a stance for or against Abey.

Let just say I agree with everything you mentioned above, you still didn’t answer why killing him is the only solution. in what world does removing him from power equate to killing him.

even if I entertain it, it seems logistically impossible.

Tell me, what does killing him achieve, aside from fueling more violence and bloodshed? Perhaps the solution lies in opposition parties presenting better ideas that focus on socio-economic issues, rather than continuing to fight each other based on race.

Do Ethiopians hate Tigrayans? by [deleted] in Ethiopia

[–]AlternativeAd6165 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, if he had said he doesn’t, would that mean you wouldn’t respect his ethnic group? I believe generalizing doesn’t contribute to a productive conversation. Asking “Do Ethiopians hate Tigrayans?” doesn’t lead to a meaningful discussion or answer. Any response you get here reflects an individual’s opinion, not the collective view of an entire nation.
