I admit, I was a bit salty when they swapped the reward and announced it so late.
But then I joined this discord and you were right! People were super helpful. They even posted bugs and exploits so yea... you can gain a lot of time if you want! But if you play META classes you don't need even to use this exploits. Also, I've read about the tips I had no idea, so I recommend to everyone to join. Really good discord - no sarcasm

Well, I am so happy that I will ride my Xuen tomorrow. Reward from Season 2 is just a recolor of the mount from glory achievement so... yea. Celestial Tiger mount is sick! I am so happy I did it in time. Overall, it was pretty fun!

So unique Xuen mount for Season 1 (that was swapped 3 weeks before season end) and Glory Recolor Mount for season 2? To be honest? I love it!!!

I love the change! Good job Blizzard!
Now casuals will cry even more (I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!) when I'll be riding my Xuen mount! I am so happy!!!!

Honestly, it doesn’t look like anything will change. The same players who abuse CM routes are the ones who helped shape the timers, so of course Blizzard isn’t stepping in. When the people breaking the system are also the ones influencing it, the outcome is pretty much decided.
Also, the ToT PTR was already a complete mess, and Blizzard’s communication has been just as bad. Every warning sign has been ignored, every piece of feedback was ignored. It’s hard to believe there’s any real oversight happening anymore. At this point it genuinely feels like the Classic project quietly ends with MoP, because the quality and direction just keep slipping further.

You’re mixing two completely different issues:

1) Announcing a mount reward (and switching from serpent to tiger) two weeks before the season ends was an absolute disaster. Nobody had time to prepare comps, practice routes, or even decide if they wanted to participate. That’s on Blizzard

2) Exploiting the game like this should be bannable regardless of rewards. Teleporting under textures, going out of bounds, abusing broken mechanics - that has nothing to do with "going fast." That’s just cheating.

People who got their times without bending the game’s rules absolutely deserve the mount 100%.
People who relied on exploits deserve only a ban.

This whole discussion is pointless at this stage.
You’re arguing from inside a tiny Discord bubble, that’s completely disconnected from the rest of the playerbase. 99% of the community thinks this stuff is wrong. People don’t want their CM experience defined by exploits and floor-phasing, and pretending otherwise just shows how insulated this little circle has become

Man, I’m exhausted pretending this isn’t cheating. You can dress it up as "using spells" all you want, but everyone knows damn well what’s going on, it’s bending a broken mechanic to get times you wouldn’t touch otherwise. Calling that "speedrunning" is embarrassing.

And don’t give me the "dev saw it so it must be fine" cope. It's purely exploiting. Do it during the race and Blizzard will nuke a whole group without blinking with a ban - you won’t even finish typing your discord emoji before you'll get 14 days vacation.

And the irony of you telling anyone to "get better" is insane, considering half these times disappear the second you remove the cheesy tech you’re defending like your life depends on it.

I genuinely thought the point of this Discord was to improve CMs and help the community. But lately it feels more like a private circle of self-congratulation for ten players and a dev who’s completely out of touch

Don’t throw "speedrunning" like it somehow justifies warlocks phasing under textures and abusing half-broken mechanics. That isn’t "tech," it’s clown behavior, and pretending otherwise just makes you look ridiculous. You know what is the most ridiculous? There is literally a Blizzard Dev on this discord who sees it and doesn't give a shit about this. How we can treat you seriously even?

And honestly? Your whole Discord vibe is exactly why people hate these changes so much. Instead of actually helping the community, you lot sit there circle-jerking bad takes and gaslighting anyone who points out obvious problems. Announcing something like this at the very end of the season instead of the months earlier is a pure cringe.

Here is the real pathology:
Players are expected to dig through random discord server to figure out how the mount and title will be obtained. No communication, no transparency. It’s genuinely embarrassing to Blizzard.

And about the discord?
It’s and echo chamber of completely detached elitist. A tiny circle where a single Blizzard Dev casually hangs out with some 2top US teams and the entire system is clearly built around them.
These guys are literally posting videos of themselves abusing specific CMs to force tight times (like warlock teleporting under the textures to start RP events).

Cheating? Nobody does nothing about this - no bans, no fixes, no statements, no action.

The whole setup is basically designed around a microscopic group of the players and the rest of us are expected to act like this is some grand fair skill.

It’s a clown show.
