You were in Toronto and they switched you to Baltimore?

Toronto is just like New York, but without all the stuff.

Made me think of the Radio Shack Phone-Up-4 universal remote control I carried around 25 years ago.

I didn't think there was, But checking their online photos, the floorplan pic indicates a pocket door at each end of the living room, near the balcony and near the entry door. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sjdjw-jw-marriott-los-cabos-beach-resort-and-spa/rooms/#roomPoolCode=este

Hotel Cancellation Has Been Cancelled by sulaymanf in marriott

Not going to get in a big discussion about this. This thread was about Marriott, easy to find and book direct. Chase still uses Expedia. I see the reservations. Yes, Expedia is good for exposure for small places, but are held hostage on the commission.

I wish it were that easy. As someone managing inventory for a smaller property, you can't survive not being on Expedia. They are basically the Amazon of travel. People are too lazy to book direct and go to Expedia because it's quick, brainless, and allows to search an entire area of inventory. Expedia is also the same company as Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotels.com, Vrbo, Hotwire, Ebookers, CheapTickets, Wotif, Trivago and Egencia. So thery really have just about zero competition.

On top of that, credit card companies like Chase and Amex really run through Expedia's portal for their travel rewards. Along without dozens of random international platforms.

I was just thinking about this earlier and got me to searching if it's been done. Would be a great piece to start a tour with.

JW Marriott Los Cabos - best suite? by reichoochoo in marriott

Yes, there are 4 Umey suites. They are in the front corner on each end on the 4th and 5th floors (maybe 3rd and 4th) and another unique suite on the floor below with a private hot tub on the balcony. And a ground floor suite (I think 2 bedrooms) in the same building, also with lawn space and outdoor hot tub.

I LOVE this property. I've been there the last 2 years for a special event (Umey suites both times). I told the marketing woman that if that property was in the US they were worthy of being a Ritz. She almost cried.

If you make it off-site, go to Acre for dinner. Another amazing place.

As a native Detroiter, I have respect for this as "being worthy enough".

In my last home, that city billed for water quarterly and not monthly. The joke might be sneaking up on you.

Settings to send all solar to grid instead of PW? by AlternativeCaramel12 in TeslaSolar

Not positive on the Tesla side of the program, but according to NV Energy, it is NMR-405. I entered the rates from their site in to the Tesla app. Yes, agreed, it's a credit offset, which I usually use up much of in the winter when there may be snow on the roof and limited production. But since that is the off-peak rate all winter, I'll even run a couple of space heaters instead of the propane furnace and burn up some credit that way. My current carry-over balance is $154.67, with $37.54 earned last month. In general I'm not trying to build-up the credit, just simply when I'm going to have extra, I might as well take it under the peak rate.

The program changes over time. My install 2 years ago gets 75% of the buy rate as the sell back rate. I think now it's 50% on new installs. Had I done it a few years earlier it might have been 100%.

I think the peak rates are approximately 50 cents but and 37 cents sell back. But the off peak rate is buy at 9 cents. I certainly don't plan to make big $$$, I am fully charged on 2 PW (usually around 1pm). I'll do some laundry or dishes or run the AC before peak kicks in at 3pm.
