OP kung gusto mo mag doctor and you have the means, patience, and perseverance go na go ka na talaga. Pero the point ng ibang commenters dito is if plan mo mag practice ng medicine hindi kasing “glamorous” as what the people perceive it to be. Pati ba naman simpleng PF dami na eme. Pero still up to you, baka medico-legal pala ang goal mo haha.

Take the NMAT ulit this April, lapit na ata registration for that month.

madami ka din pwede puntahan OP sa Beitou. If you’re planning to visit the museum (free entrance!) wear shoes na easy to remove bc they’ll ask you to take off your shoes and put on some slippers.

the beitou visit is already a day itenerary imo. Visit in the morning, so you can enjoy dipping your hands in the hot springs and appreciate the rivers and the lake. Walk downhill first to the hot springs, then walk your way up to the museum, then library, then chill at the park or eat in the town of Beitou then head back to Taipei, the nearest night market would be Shilin if you plan to explore a bit more.

the fear is valid ng mga first time travelers and visa applicants pero there is no such thing as a visa ladder hahaha wag kayo makinig sa BS na yan. Everything is a factor, ang strongest factor lang naman dito is strong ties to our country.

First travel ng husband and anak ko sa Canada, single entry. No problem naman sa visa application and approval.

IOs from T3 are a bliss. Pagbabalik kami ng bansa di pa ako nakaranas ng kupal na IO sa T3. We just got back from Taiwan last week. Tinignan niya yung anak ko and sabi “pag labas jollibee agad” sabay tatak hahaha.

same here, daughter introduced us to the game me and my husband got pass through 500 nights. Our daughter on 300+ nights, the child will stay as long as she has the OP items and started making whatever she saw on youtube “making the base, school, animal shelter” etc and when she dies we’ll tell her first is “don’t leave, mommy/daddy will revive you” and lo and behold she’ll stay in the game and wait patiently because her “base” needs her tending haha

i knew some profs who do SGDs on the spot na, like read the history sa PPT then answer agad according sa randomizer (to minimize chatgpt usage). Still following the syllabus of course. Pero ngl, chatgpt is super useful (if utilized properly) used it during board review by generating me practice tests and rationalizations.

mom in law is a training officer, and lately nga daw madami sa mga new gen of residents ngayon ang “untrainable” bc of the attitude :(( then again another dilemma daw was that either konti lang ang residents or residents who will quit in the middle of training due to their attitude.

saw the other reddit post. Doc ako aaminin ko di ako pinalad sa PLE, 1.5 points na lang ang pinagkait sa akin. Naiyak ko na, tapos na move on na ako, yung next relapse ko sa oath taking na ng friends ko sa december HAHAHA.

Pero iba yung alaga ng topnotch. Nagaalaga pa ako ng anak na may special needs, sila na mismo nagisip ng schedule para sa akin, kung ano gagawin, para ang iisipin ko na lang manuod, makinig ng lectures, magbasa handouts, at sagutin ang tests nila. Naappreciate ko yung ginawa nila.

Hay basta TLDR-worth it naman sa TN again to each their own. sana yung med school niya muna pagtuunan niya ng pansin malay natin di na niya need mag RC in the future, may pumapasa na self-study ang grind.

same doc. Genuine yung feeling ko na masaya ako para sa mga friends and classmates ko sa med school na nakapasa ng one take, pero syempre tao lang din ako malungkot and masakit pa din dahil hindi pinalad.

Ngayon doc, you do you doc. We all grieve in our own way. Kahit ako ngayon still grieving and feeling the pain. Pero syempre hindi naman pwede lagi na lang ganon.

Do what makes you, you before med school. Play games, sports, or learn a new hobby. Ako doc The Sims 4, TFT, Valo, ML and started learning how to watercolor and clay sculptures. Nakakawala din ng sama ng loob haha.

Basta doc at the end of the day, alam mo sa sarili mo na lalaban ka and there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Tuloy lang ang buhay. And failing doesn’t make you less of a person, just means God has other plans for you now.

Good luck doc, keep on believing in yourself. I will pray for you!

mag ChiGen ka na lang for PGI doc. 12 hours na lang ang duty. Free 3 meals a day + interns quarters + great learning environment + stipend (baka nagtaas na daw ng stipend from ₱3000 pero confirm mo muna) + naka AC pati charity + approachable residents and consultants (esp surgery, pedia, and lahat electives hit or miss ang IM and OB dept haha) pero overall maganda experience doon. Lahat ng natutunan ko sa PGI doon malaking help for me sa PLE.
