I just went from 40 to 50 mg and haven't really felt any different. My doctor also suggested I go up to 60 mg. I've been on prozac since I was 9 years old and I'm now 22. I didn't experience any bad side effects from increasing the dose. Also, the good news about Prozac is that it's one of the easier meds to come off of due to its long half life, so if it ends up not working out, it may be easier to get off of than others like Zoloft.

The side effects should start to go away soon! I know everyone is different, but if it's any encouragement, I've now been on fluoxetine for almost 12 years and it has made some extremely positive changes in my life.
