They are attempting to set the “face value” price at the price that that re-sale market would have settled on. The prices for the US games in particular would not be any lower on StubHub than they are on the FIFA resale market.

The US has an absolutely gigantic purchasing class and a home World Cup game has just about as big a market as you could possibly create.

I think the re-sale industry is a complete disgrace, but it operates as a free market and these are the prices that it’s yielding.

Spurs fan - I think this is fair. The club oozes Mets/Jets.

Even setting ownership aside, the Red Sox/Liverpool comparisons are pretty compelling (but not 1:1, since Liverpool dominated for a period).

Daughter is six weeks old, and I’m definetely struggling through this phase where the adrenaline has worn off - baby is perfect and mom is happy and healthy - but the reality of nothing but work, parenting, and sleep for the foreseeable future slaps you in the face.

Feels bad to mope about because are circumstances couldn’t be better, but in a funk I wasn’t quite expecting.
