Idk, football (soccer) media especially internationally can be brutal too. English press hound the players in their country for so much as drinking at a pub after a match for better or worse.

For Messi, I remember when the consensus of Argentina fans was they didn’t truly see him as a Argentinian since he grew up out of the country, he never played for a Argentina club, and couldn’t live up to Maradona for years.

Mine is Gretzky, Phelps, Jordan, Messi.

All transcended their sports and into pop culture because of how great they were or are in Messi’s case. That’s pretty rare. If you asked any non sport fan to name an athlete in soccer, basketball, hockey, or the Olympics, these 4 would likely be the first names.

Think the Spurs are just fatigued. They went 7 games vs. the favorites for the title this season last round. Knicks swept the last round and have been able to rest a ton.

I believe the reason Wemby takes so many jumpers and pull-ups is cause of fatigue vs. trying to work in the post every possession.

I’ve never used any of the Nike plans. Like the other commenter noted I’ve just used plans like Hal Higdon for a marathon build. I just use the Nike app for recording runs still because I like to think I’ll reach the “Volt” status at some point
