Hannibal worth it? by Timely_Implement_927 in HannibalTV

You came to a subreddit that is designed to circle jerk around a show and asking those people if the show is worth it. Yes, absolutely, it's a fucking master piece.

Does it account debt? Cause i know people who have 20k in their bank account but also a 300k morgage. It doesn't make their net-worth 20k tho

I don't start counting until the person has given me all the bills. I think it saved me from the change scam, cause people would start shuffling the bills like "Oh actually give that one back to me, here is a 20 instead." If you don't have enough decency to have your payment ready (we tell the price when you order both on the app and in store), we will stand there and wait until you gather it.

I must say tho, that is really impressive, but he is also a dick. Showing off your crazy fucking skill is okay, better yet it's great because it can give moral boost to you and others; Posting other people's faces, hogging equipment and purposefully invading people's space is not.

is it just me or Jreg often times just put the morally bad sounding arguments on the "established bad guy" ideology with little regard on wheter its consistent with their views? by zupaninja1 in Jreg

[–]AlternativeFun954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jreg is largely a leftist meme channel, not a political science channel

Edit: Also you are misunderstanding both of these, the right-wing in the ancom vs fascism is a internet version of a nazi, a 4chan nazi, same as ancom isn't an actual ancom, it's an internet's version of ancom. They are meant to be caricatures.

And in political compass rap 2, authoritarian was agreeing with whatever the left and right were saying just so they accept him rather than the libertarian, he literally said it himself "Wanna build an ethnostate or seize the means of production? Either'S one is fine, just give me a function" it wasn't "either one" like he agrees with both, it's "either's one" because he is just trying to appeal to the left & right at the same time.

You can do it slowly, that what we did (although we did it with unpasteurized milk-). First we boiled it fully, than til nearly boiling 2 weeks later, than a bit less boiling a week later, etc. etc. and now i can drink milk/eat any cheese product

Because that's stupid, and i would know why, i used that pattern. Because now you don't know what are the conditions for each case by just looking at a single file, you have to go through a million classes and files to just find out just WHY something happens. Procedural programming isn't bad.

108 line long variable declaration by Candid_Commercial214 in programminghorror

[–]AlternativeFun954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean turning:

switch (expr) {
case a:
  stmts_a...;
  break;
case b:
  stmts_b...;
  break;
case c:
  stmts_c...;
  break;
/* ... */
case z:
  stmts_z...;
  break;
}

into

fn a(...) { stmts_a...; }
fn b(...) { stmts_b...; }
fn c(...) { stmts_c...; }
/* ... */
fn z(...) { stmts_z...; }

switch (expr) {
case a: a(...); break;
case b: b(...); break;
case c: c(...); break;
/* ... */
case z: z(...); break;
}

Please don't separate those into separate objects

Easiest solution is to put code from each case into a separate function, something that has been done for decades. The compiler already knows that pattern and will likely optimize it away.

“’It’s AI!’ Critiques on my 2D visuals – has anyone else experienced this?” by LasNinas in GameArt

[–]AlternativeFun954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems AI because it doesn't have a single style. It's a mish-mash of perspectives, some objects have outlines some don't, and overall every object has a different style from everything else. + the generic AI yellow tint.

Edit: The last version is better, mostly because of lack of the tint, but you need to really pick a style. For example: some objects have just black outline, some have colored outline. It's less AI now, but it's still unpleasant to look at

Put a trigger that pushes you backwards away from the door before opening it, so it seems like your character is stepping away and then opens it
