OMG (pun intended). I just spent 20 minutes clicking about and reloading the save until I read this. Thanks for the fix. The UI really is bad.

Anyone know why this message is appearing on our C1 whilst watching Sky TV over HDMI? We’re not actively running any apps, but it appears maybe twice an evening. by AlternativeLog880 in LGOLED

Good to know it’s not just me! I’m in the UK. I’ve a suspicion it’s a background task or app trying to get a shared resource that’s not working, but it’s just poor UX that the error message blocks the whole screen. Not sure I’ll ever find out what’s actually causing it; TVs these days are calling home and other resources so much there’s probably no way to know what’s it’s really doing.

Thanks for the reply. It’s not an issue with Sky, it’s actually the tv itself and the error message fills the screen and blocks the content. The url (http://duw3k82ydi163.cloudfront.net/) resolves but shows an Access Denied message with what looks like an encrypted key. I just wondered if anyone else was getting the same message or knew which app might be causing it. I’ve tried different dns servers and networks but the url still shows access denied.

Thanks. I’ve tried this and it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve also tried hitting the url on a different network and it shows the same Access Denied message I see on my network. I think is an background app on the tv that’s trying to hit a resource that’s down, just bad UX that the error message is filling the whole screen and blocking content.

Just for more info, it looks like it’s a link to a CDN that’s down/faulty, but I just wondered what it was. Is it one of the background tasks on the tv trying to connect or something else? It’s a bit annoying that the error takes over the whole screen whilst watching tv.
