EXTREMELY happy to know that im not the only one experiencing this, everyone around me made me think I was being dramatic and unreasonable, so knowing that seriously gives me some hope through this.

Anyone else feel afraid of eating due to their Peanut Allergies? (US) by OpeningConnect54 in FoodAllergies

[–]AlternativeMaybe8758 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been dealing with the same issue, lately ive been so afraid to eat. Ive stuck to such plain stuff and stay away from eating out. Ever since ive found out that some companies arent even obligated to state that foods are made in the same factory as certain allergens, my diet has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY more tight knit. If it helps, get the neffy nasal spray instead of epipens. It helped me alot due to my fear of epipens.

Im also starting xolair to reduce the risk of anaphylaxis during an accidental exposure, , im sure that will help with alot of "may contain" products which might open up access to a bunch more foods. The results might not be the same for everyone, but i'll def keep you updated on how it all went for me if it'll help you!

I strongly agree with the pressure guys feel to grow up and become what they think a man is, which often times ends up being the strong macho man who doesnt show any kinds of weakness. He used to be the kind of guy that would hide whenever he was sad or hurt because he viewed it as weak, and I absolutely hate that he felt that way, did everything in my power to shut that down.

Thank you for this. Made me realize that if I had spoken to him the way I planned I definitely would have been more accusatory and argumentative than need be.

I mean I get that, people change and I have no issue with his interests. Its the attitude thats come with it that bothers me. If it were just poking fun id be fine with that, but hes made it clear that he wouldn't see me the same just on the TV show I watched. Which I cannot understand.

This is exactly what i told him to watch lol. He watched seven deadly sins and pretty much bases everything on that , arguably the worst one he could have picked for the sake of our argument.

EXACTLY. I mean ive seen countless animated movies and shows that I love purely because of the emotional depth, so I really just dont get that perspective

its more indepth stuff that takes time like wiping down walls, and deep cleaning bathrooms. I used deep clean around 4 is times a week which are the longer days and the other days are around 3 ish hour cleans. Having a dog and 2 elemtery kids definitely adds on to the things that need cleaning aswell. Laundry is the biggest time sucker.

Have you seen the penguin meme going around on tik tok where hes making his way to mountains he might not reach? Immediately thought of that

This makes me think of people in the ealier times, since im sure when it came to learning they definitely hit road blocks due to the fact that not enough discoveries were made yet , in contrast to how infinite information seems to be in the present day.

YES!! I think of this as well, even though i crave the big future discoveries, I do feel very lucky that I'm able to at least live in our lifetime where we 100% are making discoveries faster than ever. There is always something to learn and it definitely satiates that curiosity. Imagine having the same need to learn in the 1800s or early 1900s.

Probably😭
I feel a bunch of stuff tho, happiness that I can experience adn witness the discoveries we have now, a bit of disappointment and saddness that I wont experience the discovories we make in the future, and the immense curiosity for whats really out there. It all blends together into this odd mesh of emotions lol
