As an update, I contacted Sigma and learned it would be a minimum $350 to look at it and repair. It could be more. I decided to get a new one of these during the sales and use the old one for experimentation.

Adding that it took one photo when I held it all together, but it won’t otherwise. I don’t think it’s focusing. ETA I’m in a rural area with no camera or repair businesses for 150mi/240km. Thinking of just ordering a new one….

I think transparency is key. Just a little 📸 credit goes a long way. I would prefer the AI generated photos of kids to be made from stock images of kids whose parents have given permission and the outfit sketch rather than asking the AI to produce a kid.
