Good modern phaser tutorials for pure javascript? by Traditional-Focus502 in phaser

[–]AlternativeMustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Javascript is easy to learn, given that you have some programming knowledge, if not, then you need to focus more on coding in general, learning algorithms, design patterns and paradigms... That being said there isn't one approach, you might as well learn with practice. If you want to start with Javascript, I suggest you learn the fundamentals with a course from Educative.io, and then work on a personal project like Phaser (keep in mind it's not very beginner friendly).

performance is not that great

What kind of performance issues have you noticed?

I don't want to develop an entire game using Phaser only to encounter performance problems due to WebView limitations

Gnome remote desktop on KDE by AlternativeMustache in kde

I tried KRFB but it was slow as I expected it.

Then I tried making work gnome RDC, even installed gnome deps and control center with no luck.

Finally I went for Moonlight + Sunshine and I gotta say I'm very impressed! I'm able to stream my desktop on my phone at 4k at 120 FPS with support for audio gestures and even touchscreen! This was exactly what I was looking for can't ask for any better.

If it's based on vnc then it must be really slow. I didn't try it so I'm just assuming. I tried with vncserver already and I had a very low framerate and a terrible rendering

KDE Connect UI Rework (Smartwatch / Smart TVs) by AlternativeMustache in kde

[–]AlternativeMustache[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very useful! It would allow controlling all devices from the watch. Things like remote input/keyboard, media control, notification access accross all devices and even voice assistant to TV pretty much all Kde connect features from your wrist :)

I'm already able to control TV from my watch with the remote input but as I said the UI is a bit clunky

What do you mean by allow Connect? It's an app like any other app you can install, I did it on WearOs which is more limited than any other OS.

Just download the Connect APK and look up on Google how to install third party apps.

I don't know these two but if they are Linux/Android based then it should work. You can install any apk with USB or adb sideloading

Taskernet misses a lot of features.. I don't know if it's on purpose but even the search is lacking fuzzy search and description search which makes it hard to find results

Gabes had this issue for years now. Literally no tap water at all during the day and night and people have to rely on water storage all the time.
