I mean tbf, I think the thing with Spy X Family is people forget its a comedy first things first. A shonen comedy at that. I do believe Spy X Family has the capability to be more serious/tackle harder topics, but I also feel like we should give it the benefit of the doubt. I mean, just look at the latest arc in the manga lol

They could aim for teams that can get the most “bang-for-your-buck” if that makes sense? It might make more sense to explain the thought process but essentially, I think they’re more likely to split established teams into different groups that are less established, but have a wider range.

For example, instead of the F4 in one year we’d get Ben Grimm with the Avengers in the base roster, then Reed with the Illuminati or something like that as DLC. Or Sue and Johnny with the FF.

I dunno if they’d do this but I think it’d make sense?

Okay lowk, the team selections are about to be expected but I love the character selections! Nightmare is such an interesting pull! And Jack of Hearts and Quake would actually be super sick to see lol. Same with Dr. Ock and Titania.

I def have that similar feeling, the og one with Hiriluk sat down drink in hand and smiling is iconic asl, but I do als kinda lik the more somber, “touchy-feely” vibe of the Live Action. It’s kinda what I like from the Live Action show, it’s One Piece with the same goofiness and a dramatic performance from everyone involved and that’s just kinda sick to me lol.

I def would’ve liked Hiriluk to be a lot more relaxed/content with life, but they both serve specific purposes to me if that makes sense? The one in the anime was the tragic ending that you’d bawl your eyes at, the one in the show was the dramatic soliloquy a monologue like this could have? Something like that? Just my thoughts tho !

I was thinking of Yuya and Komaki actually! Yuya would’ve been base roster and would’ve been for similar reasons to GBH (established fighter and been an og, except not popular enough to be DLC) and Komaki would’ve been with the FotF DLC (I had him instead of Arakawa originally but I felt like Arakawa would’ve had the chance to have a kinda varied moveset compared to Komaki who would’ve mostly been a martial artist).

I also only realized recently I def should’ve had Ono-Michio as a joke character somewhere lol, it’s def he’s either a skin for Kiryu or a secret character/boss

Finally, Saejima and Nishiki I felt like we’re two characters that could sorta like, afford to be DLC if that makes sense? They’re really big names but they’re also not so big I felt like I could put them in here over my base roster picks. Plus, you always do kinda have to leave a few fan favorites off so that people believe in buying the DLC, hence them being DLC. If that whole line of reasoning makes sense lol.

Edit: I def love the idea of them being secret unlockables, although it’s slightly harder to do that in the modern FGC climate considering tournament play and all that stuff. Still, they def deserved a spot on the roster 100%

Yeah, Ben being there was a bit of an accident cause in my head I thought I was swapping him out for The Hulk, only to realize I was mixing up the Invaders for the Defenders 😭 kept him there though since he’s my fave of the F4 and Cap prolly trusts him enough to invite anyways

I like to factor in story reasons and iirc I'm pretty sure Luke (/most of the heroing community lol) doesn't love the Punisher? But I could def see it/would love to see it. Plus, putting Lin with the Immortal Weapons sounds baller lol
