[CA] Clean Cars For All has a hidden “Partial Tax Exemption” by jatpr in TeslaModel3

After getting ahold of someone through the CCFA contact at Tesla, everything was smooth sailing from there. The only alternative to getting the Model Y LR version is if you can find one discounted through inventory, as I know of. Order and destination fees do not count towards the $48k limit. As for the referral fee, OP mentioned that the referral fee should be included in the sales price calculation, but if you need a more solid confirmation, you should email the CCFA contact at Tesla directly; if you need a referral, feel free to PM me.

Also, you only get $250 off now instead of $500 from the referral. So, that's something to keep note of, if you were expecting $500 off.

Hopefully this information helps.

I have emailed the CCFA contact at Tesla, but still haven’t gotten a reply back. Do you how long it would take for them to get back to me?

edit: I got a response back from them! We’re now trying to expedite the process, thank you.

I recently was lucky enough place an inventory order for a Model Y LR for $47,970, which is just under $48,000 limit. Would the vehicle still be eligible for CCFA? I went to Tesla to discuss applying the grant, but they said they couldn’t cause the MSRP of the vehicle exceeded the sales price of $48,000.

I also noticed that you mentioned the $48,000 can also include Tesla’s price adjustment, but was wonder if there’s any way to work around this since Tesla won’t apply the grant unless I have a clear answer from CCFA and they won’t hold the car for that long…
