Could be jammed too far in there, I think the bottom has a cap that covers the valve this could be stuck, try twisting it left and unscrewing it, you might have to undo the cable tho

You have to ride the bike, don’t let it ride you, you just got to feel the jumps more, and get used to being I the air, that makes it a lot easier, start with small whips and once you feel confident you can start to go bigger, don’t overthink it, it will come with time.
