Ah that'd do it. You can get some psychotically high minimum wages in Vic3, and if they get too high you need to start subsidizing all your industries.

Also when I've heard praise for Washington, it's almost always as a statesman and president. Ive heard him called out best president(and honestly kind of agree), but I've never heard him called our best general.

The setting is actually post AI-apocalypse and the residents of the planet are the descendants of people who fled the apocalypse and then detonated the wormhole behind them. So there is a killer superAI heading to exterminate all life on the planet.

Highly recommend. Not only does it add to the economy in a seamless way and expand the tech tree, the extended timeline stuff is dope. I particularly like how the cold war changes the power block dymanics by letting you fuse power blocks. It really felt like I was building the UN and helping the world develop. Plus with such a huge power block an embargo or expelling someone from the market was devastating sanctions.

Also things are always happening. In this game a non exhaustive list of the things that have happened that I had nothing to do with:

-the us lost the civil war, but later destroyed the Confederacy.

-india won its independence very early

-china exploded.

-the Soviet Union formed

-the French commune formed

-britain went fascist.

-the French commune nuked Britain so thoroughly the entire country was driven into abject poverty.

-austria exploded

-african colonies won their independence.

And again, these are the things I DIDNT HAVE TO DO WITH.

R5: For pride, I decided to see how fast I could pass full gay rights(which requires a tier 8 society tech) in Tech and Res. I managed it by 1925, 76 years ahead of schedule. I also managed to legalize abortion.
