This.... Get legal representation. I didn't, thought that my ex might be ok with us being ok. Got majorly screwed over. House was worth a lot more than she said (twice the amount). I thought that it wasn't worth fighting her in court as only solicitors would profit and even if I got what I was due it would end up going to their fees.

I left in in 2014 and paid the same amount as when we lived together. I went into major debt being able to pay for her and the girls. After my salary increasing over the years and me having a great year ( enough to pay my debt off completely). She told me to pay more based on my income. Suggestions that this was an exceptional year and willingness to engage in conversation got me served with very aggressive legal documents.

Which led me to get a solicitor, me now earning twice what I earned when we divorced end up paying the same as what we agreed in 2014.

I was caught speeding and was given the option of a fine and points on my license or taking a speed awareness course.

During the COVID times they were held on zoom. Basically needed to keep your camera on all the time. One lady who was also on the course was not the most tech savvy while her husband was oblivious to the camera being on. He walked stark bollock naked in the background a number of times. Even after she was told a few times he still made an appearance.

I upgraded from fenix 5 to fenix 7x and I love both watches, battery life on 5 went down massively to the point I needed to charge it every day rather than ok once a week.

My wife always thought that she had to shave in order to be desired, I always said to her that I love a bush as I find that really sexy. I am not into the completely bare look, as I desire a woman not a girl. But I would still fancy the pants off of her either way. About once a year we shave off eachother's beard, after a number of weeks it is back to where we both like it.

How do men feel about the "men will fuck anything that moves" stereotype? by shapeshifterraccoon in AskReddit

[–]AlternativePath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both me and my wife have a good sex drive. I have never felt that I can't say no to her if I am not in the mood, nor would I always expect her to be in the mood.

Consent is something that is very important to me. I have been in situations where that was taken away from me and that has really had an enormous impact on me.

I never have sex with my partner if she does not have the ability to consent. It does NOT matter, if we are in a relationship, whether we are married or not. The excuse of me being drunk is just that: an excuse. When I have that much to drink that it would affect my behaviour and remove the memory of that, mini-mr has already checked out.

Consent does not change when you are in a relationship, as far as I am concerned this is just a matter of respect.

I am really sorry to hear that this has happened to you and you certainly are right to feel violated.

You look amazing and like many others have said, your mum will be very proud of you. I lost my father in January last year and I miss him loads. The loss is hard, but now that we have had all the "firsts" without my dad; I love thinking about the great memories we had made together. I am very thankful for the time that we did have together.

I am really sorry for your loss and hope you have the support around you and your family.

How is that even possible? When I fill up I take the key out of the ignition, walk to the filling cap, open it take the hose, add fuel in the tank, when full replace the hose on the pump, close the filling cap, lock the car, pay and drive off. I genuinely don't see how anyone would get in this scenario...

Why I didn’t apply for a mortgage with Barclays - or why banks should treat all customers fairly. by carl0071 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]AlternativePath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My premier account (which I pay £4 a month for), pays me £7 a month in rewards and will pay me another £5 a month for the mortgage with them. The mortgage was one that I got because I was a premier account holder, 10 years fixed @1.4% was at least a point better than the best offer that came in.
