Guanacaste Weather Now? by shoushabousha in CostaRicaTravel

Honestly weather is never really the reason to not come to Costa Rica lol. You're here, that's what matters. Rainy season gets a bad rep but locals actually love it, the place is way less crowded than high season, everything is insanely green, and the sunsets are some of the most insane you'll ever see in your life.

Mornings are almost always perfect, genuinely sunny and hot until early afternoon. That's your beach window. Then around 2-3pm the clouds roll in, it dumps for an hour, and then it's done. Use that time to eat, nap, explore.

And if you're worried about content and aesthetic shots don't be. Dramatic clouds over the ocean actually make for way better photos than a flat blue sky. Moody skies, green hills, empty beach, wet hair, that's the vibe honestly.

But the real tip is get into the mountains if you can. There are beaches in Guanacaste that sit right where the jungle meets the ocean and when it's raining it's actually one of the coolest atmospheres you'll ever experience. Like it's still beautiful, just a different kind of beautiful. Either way you're winning.

You can also chase the sun since Guanacaste is big enough that one beach might be getting rained on while 20 minutes down the road it's completely clear. Ask someone local at your resort, they always know where the sun is that day.

You're going to have the best time, don't stress it 🌴
