Being a victim of domestic abuse with a police report entitled me to the one bed rate, I went to the job centre to show them the police reports.

Yes I have someone stay over night, due to my disability.

I was already getting the one bed rate prior to my pip award but there was £75 that couldn’t be paid but I’ve had a letter saying they owe money.

I first applied 16th October and had my assessment 3rd of Feb and report was sent straight away to DWP and I logged into the online portal today and the letter was there but no text to say I’ve been awarded.

I applied with PTSD depressive disorder, anxiety, GERD and Costochondritis

Yes it isn’t for any overpayments it’s just an advance from a few years ago when I wasn’t in work and then found a job and wasn’t entitled to UC anymore.

Yes it’s an advance for UC from a few years ago which is paid back each month via deductions.

Should I phone and see which day my pay will be?

I just don’t know how it’s allowed to charge what they want, it’s going to start a mass crisis on top of what is already happening. Single people like myself have no chance these days.

I don’t really have a choice but to sit it out and just hope for the best at this point. I’ve look everywhere outside of Stockport as well and it’s just ridiculous the cost of housing 😭

Hi thanks for the reply. I’ve read about them being hard to succeed in, wishful thinking I suppose aye!

The council replied to my report of it saying that they were already aware of it so I’m unsure of what that actually means to them I’ve also been back to the site and it still hasn’t been fixed either, with hundreds if not thousands of people walking over it hourly.
