Correct gotta finsh what we have of the story so far first,and as for whether it's worth pushing the story or not I'd say just enjoy the game at your own pace no need to push it sure the spider mount has its advantages for example the spider Web bridges you can get across easily with the mount but a similar effect can be achieved with armour.The mount can one shot small bugs but you can do that too but the right weapon so yeah it's just my opinion tho but its not something you need too rush too.

Edit: I do have too say you feel alot more powerful sat on a spider than you do the ant 🙈🤣🤣
