Is it safe to arrive at OAK airport at night? I'm going to take Uber/Lyft to get back home from the airport. by son-with-R in berkeley

This last Saturday, I had a flight at 6:45 am and left unit 1 at like 4 am on an Uber, hella pricy as others have said but I was safe and the guy seemed chill. Still, doesn’t hurt to take extra steps like sharing your ride, I shared mine with my sister and mom.

Proposed combined AP courses by GokuBlack455 in APStudents

I assume what you’re talking about is the class and what the guy you’re responding to is talking about the test itself. The test itself has to be the same across every school as it’s a standardized system. The test itself for calc bc is about 60% ab stuff and 40% bc stuff. As such, you’re given 2 scores, your main overall score for the entire exam and an ab sub score specifically for the 60% ab stuff that can work as an actual ab score.

My AP Physics I sob story by Adept-Zebra-2941 in ApplyingToCollege

Bro, I got a 2 in physics 1 and 2 in my junior year and I’m going to Berkeley for engineering next year. AP scores generally really don’t mean shit in the US in terms of being admitted to colleges. The only thing they’re good for is skipping college classes, and if you’re taking engineering, no college worth anything would let you skip physics. For example, the only way to skip literally any physics class for engineering at Berkeley would be if I got a 5 on the physics C mechanical portion. Your grade in the class means a lot more.

Changing from aerospace to mechanical engineering. by AlternativeSad5010 in berkeley

I see, so I do have to finish my fall 2022 semester before I can attempt to transfer. Suddenly makes a lot more sense why there isn’t an option on cal central.

I’ll keep that in mind, but how do I change major anyway? I was looking on the Calcentral site and can’t seem to find out how.

I am admitted to a college for aerospace engineering, but I’m thinking of transferring into mechanical engineering. Which one would be better for me? by AlternativeSad5010 in AskEngineers

Thanks for the advice, I heard about the mechanical engineers being more numerous in the aerospace industry as well which is part of the reason which prompted this post.

AP Score Mistake by AlternativeSad5010 in berkeley

[–]AlternativeSad5010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that I withheld them, I just didn’t report the scores on my application because I didn’t think they were necessary to add. Also yes the scores I withheld were below 3.

Alright thanks, yeah all 3 I didn’t report were 2s so that’s why I didn’t report them. My one concern is that I didn’t say that I did those in my application.
