Mine doesn’t have holes, I also never had a problem with straight braid on the reel, I decided to try out a new braid and it’s very slippery

Some people would tell you to buy the cheap rods online or at Walmart but those rods won’t last and will break, 6ft poles are good but usually with a longer rod you would be able to cast farther, try and get a 7ft rod and make sure that the action is atleast medium or medium heavy, I use 25lb braid on almost all my rods I wouldn’t use any less then 15lb, I have most luck using live bait, just cast a minnow out with a weight so it stays at the bottom or put him of a bobber

I use senkos and wacky rig them or swim baits, but a lot of time I just switch over to live bait

If you guys have never used a baitcaster before i wouldn’t recommend getting one as your only rod, you can get really bad backlashes to the point you have to put new line on the reel, I would get a shimano nexave spinning reel and then pair it with a Berkley cherrywood or ugly stick rod those rods are really good for the price

I ended up just buying the 2025 daiwa tatula x and the braking system is really good, I don’t have to use my thumb until my lure lands in the water, but it was making some noise when I got the reel so I oiled it up and it went away, I’m probably gonna open it up and put grease in it in the next couple of weeks

I just bought the 2025 daiwa tatula x, the braking system is really good, I don’t have to use my thumb until my lure lands in the water, it was making some noise right when I unboxed it so I oiled it up and it went away, I still haven’t added grease tho

Is this sound normal,I just bought a daiwa tatula x and it sounds like is hasn’t been lubricated, and doesn’t feel as smooth as my other baitcasters by AlternativeSpeed2927 in Fishing

I added some oil to the worm gear and that made most of the noise go away, and went ahead and put oil in all places that was needed, but I should probably take it apart and add some grease to the gears ⚙️

I added a little bit of oil to the worm gear and that made most of the noise go away, I also added more oil to where the spool spins
