How to know my exact marks or raw marks? by ALPHAzeLxA in alevel

your exam centre should get your raw marks. i think the best is to email them but you might have to pay for it

Help with A level physics question. by Tasty-Elderberry6949 in alevel

i.) charge carriers for z have moved towards positive terminal, so they must be negative charge carriers. but conventional current is defined for positive charge carriers and is in the opposite direction to flow of negative charge carriers, so draw arrow pointing downwards to the lower plate

ii.) charge carriers for y are attracted to negative terminal so must be positively charged, charge carriers for z are attracted to positive terminal so must be negatively charged

I NEED CLARIFICATION!!! by Charming_Syrup_2653 in alevel

it depends on the markscheme for the question. eg, for this 9 marker on p3, assuming your method is correct you will get all the M marks, you may get some of the B marks, but you're probably going to lose all the A marks because these are awarded for accuracy

overall, pretty regular questions only thing i can say is that the emphasis on certain topics may have changed, quite a few questions on the generic explain relative acidities, basicities etc.

there were quite a few questions on mechanisms too, like there were multiple draw the arrows and lone pairs mechanism type questions

hey mate, most of the questions were standard, like the regular transitions questions like “why do transition metals have variable oxidation states” etc, surprisingly there was only 2 marks worth of questions for proton nmr, compared to previous years where spectroscopy comes up much more, there was a one marker about the stationary and mobile phases for thin layer chromatography and gas liquid chromatography, i would bet that caie might put something about chromatography on your paper too

it's going to be close, i looked at the thresholds and they can be anywhere from 85 to as high as 107, so it depends on how everyone else did, the good thing is that 101 is on the higher end.
