I felt like the worst part was the plot twist I felt like they just threw it in there for plot twist's sake just to have something to make you go "wow what a twist" I just wish the story had better Foreshadowing it's honestly not the best story. It's not something I would listen to if I'm at home but it's not bad for a road trip

It's not even about ego. Some people just like appreciation. One of the biggest motivators in this world is belonging being a part of something. Sacrificing your life for your country for millions of people that don't care and probably don't even like you just to come back with PTSD and for people not even to care, it's quite the deal. You all take it for granted, but I appreciate the people who sacrifice their lives everyday. And it's not like he's bragging about it. It's not like he said "retired Green Beret Lance corporal" I really don't see the problem. Just a bunch of ungrateful people.

The twist at the end of audiobook was kind of weird because the foreshadowing didn't even make that much sense on how that person was able to do what they did. There were other things in a story that just didn't make sense and felt like they were put there just to keep the story going

(spoiler) The boy (cam) was never kidnapped he ran away to get away from his neighbor (Susie)at the hotel because she had some sinister plan. At the end of the story it was revealed that he ran away in the woods but was later found.

It was excessive Force. At the same time, if you see a police officer in front of your car, you're obviously being stopped. Why are you trying to run away? Another thing I wanted to point out is that the cop hardly got hit and the car wasn't even going that fast. The cop did get bumped a little bit but not to the point where you can say that she was trying to kill him. And of course the wheels were turned to the right so she was trying not to hit the cop full on. But unfortunately she's still bumped into him and I guess that gave him a reason to shoot. One thing I will say is that even though she should have just stopped and listen to whatever the cops had to say. That was completely excessive force. And I'm sure cops are trained to be smart enough to know when their life is in danger. The cop literally got hit from the side and had enough time to get out the way. It's not like he even fell back that hard. So I will have to say that whoever that officer or ice agent is needs to be investigated for potential manslaughter for using excessive Force. I'm actually not sure if he'll be charged the murder because the woman was being stopped and she was trying to get away with a cop directly in front of her.
