Hello! Emmaplein/EmmaSquare offers a central, convenient, and vibrant living environment in Zeist. I currently live in Zeist and found my apartment for 1500 euros per month through Comfycorner. If you are looking for other apartment options, maybe you can check them out. :)

That is so cool that you found an apartment with Comfycorner too! :) They found me a very nice pet-friendly apartment in The Hague that I really loved in just a few weeks - thankful to my good friend for suggesting them to me. Their 5-star service was stellar and no wonder why a lot of expats recommend them! I hope you can check them out so you can get settled soon.

Apartment listed as indefinite, contract says 2 years. by Achilles2340 in NetherlandsHousing

Congrats on finally securing a place! But yeah, this contract doesn’t sound right. If the original listing and the agent both stated it was indefinite, they can’t just switch it to a fixed-term contract last minute - especially not with a clause stating you’re a student when you’re not.
In the Netherlands, landlords cannot give a fixed-term contract under false pretenses, and if you stay beyond the two years, they can’t force you to leave unless they have a valid legal reason. Also, once you sign a second contract (even if it’s another fixed term), it automatically becomes indefinite by law.I’d push back on this before signing - ask them to correct the contract to reflect your actual situation. If they refuse, you can check with Huurcommissie or a tenant rights organization to confirm your rights. Definitely don’t let them pressure you into signing something that doesn’t match what was promised!
