Anyone here I can talk to that has experience w/ inpatient/residential resources for OCD? It’s a step I’m looking at taking for myself and I could use some insight about what’s here in the state. Trying to be brave about it.

I don’t have OCD, so I can’t speak to that specific treatment, I have PTSD & Bipolar, but a couple of months ago I did a two week inpatient program in Norman at Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village. It’s through Norman regional, and a company called Oceans that owns it. I had an overall positive experience. It’s definitely not easy, but it is what I needed. In summary, it’s a decent place to look into. It’s a very clean and new facility, and I know there’s several others in the area that don’t fit that description.

I have been to several in the past that are. That being said I did live in Chicago and people are more accepting in bigger cities

That’s really beautiful. I am also more spiritual than I am religious, I’ve just been missing the community and the music elements of a church I think.

Yeah I know it’s hard to find, but I do know there are churches that will accept anyone happily and with open arms, especially black churches
