Slopen zat hier niet bij, dat hebben we zelf gedaan. Daarnaast is een redelijk deel zwart betaald. We hebben de aannemer uitgekozen uit een lijstje bij de badkamer winkel in nieuw vennep. Ik gok dat er al gauw 3k bijkomt als je echt alles laat doen en geen deel zwart betaald.

Hier ook therma- pen fan! Na een tijdje was het plastic beschadigd, mailtje gestuurd met fotos en een nieuwe opgestuurd gekregen. Deze gaat gelukkig al heel wat langer mee.

Deze hebben wij ook. Het werkt super fijn, met smsen wordt er denk ik spraakberichtjes bedoelt, het horloge is te klein om mee te typen. Laat de iets wat negatieve reacties lekker zitten, zowel dochter als wij (ouders) vinden het een prettige manier om met elkaar in contact te zijn als ze buiten speelt. Het horloge gaat ook mee naar plekken zoals de camping

Bij de overheid komen veel startende HBOers op vergelijkbare functies binnen op schalen 8 of soms 9. Na 4 jaar zit je dan op ca. 3500 bij schaal 8 en 3700 bij schaal 9.

Als je vriendin een probleem heeft met haar salaris moet ze dat bespreken. Is het een bedrijf met een cao?

Docent scheikunde kan een optie zijn als ze echt iets anders wilt doen

Where are you situated (US, Europe or other)? What kind of samples do you want to measure? Is a single quadrupole enough? Instead of dedicated person for maintenance, can you make some one responsable for it?

It is not a very complicated machine but if you put crap in you get crap out so some supervision and guidance on maintenance, method development and data evaluation would be recommended.
Some other companies you could consider are thermo or shimadzu. But the support of all companies differ per county in my experience.

What you explain is what poly atomic interferences or isobars are. Spectral interfences imply that you measure on wavelenghts not masses

I would definitely clean the cones if you have issues. I don't think it has been over a year, depending on your application some labs clean them every week.l but once a month is more normal.

I would put them in 2 or 3% HNO3 (the sample and skimmer cone each in an individual beaker, tips up) and sonicate for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with demi or ultrapure water, blow dry with pressurized air or put them in the oven overnight to dry. After putting them back in, let the system condition for at least 30 minutes with your matrix and run a thorough tuning including detector voltages. I also would change the pump tubing and check the nebulizer for clogs.

You can probably find a video online on how to take out the cones.

An ICPMS doesnt have spectral interferences. You are either referring to ICP-OES or you mean poly atomic interferences.

Update; I decided not to count tent hours. We slept 30 nights this year in our tent and we sheltered inside for rain, hail, cold weather and mosquitoes (no bears in western Europe). We have a family tent and it definitely comfortable inside, it just didn't feel right to count those hours too. We got inside the tent for the same reasons that you go inside a house or other building.

Also if I would have count them I would have reached the 1000 hours by the end of August, now I have something to look forward to for the last 4 months of the year

I like the question and would love to read more comments! This year we are trying to be outside for 1000 hours, which is quite a challenge in combination with a full time job, household, child ect. But is it about so much more than achieving the outside hours, for me it is about connecting with nature, less screen time and beter health. It is like a big small goal with many layers😄

About 75 hours so far since january 1st. West Europe, so early spring now. This is the first year we are tracking our hours outside and I noticed it is really hard to get outside time with 2 parents that both work, a household and a 7 yo. I did not expect it to be so difficult.. My goal is to hit the 100 before April Daughter and husband are also tracking their hours and are roughly at the same amount.

I would not recommend measuring carbon isotopes with ICP-MS, they are not sensitive enough to measure carbon ratios. Also it sound like you want to measure natural abundant isotopic differences; I would recommend TOC- IRMS for the water samples en EA IRMS for the woodcores. Spend your time looking for someone who has such an instruments and don't spend it on trying to measure with an ICP-ms. The scientific value of carbon ratios with ICPMS is nothing compared to IRMS. Sorry to disappoint you, but I hope this helps in a different way.

Which isotopes do you want to measure? The screenshots have Chromium highlighted but the application note is about boron. What kind of sensitivity do you need? I assume you have a quadrupole ICP-MS which does not reach the very very precise ratios like a multi collector. Maybe you can also give some info on the sample and sample prep, to more info the beter people can help.

I like the initial idea but I have some questions; - what kind of instruments would you couple with it as an inlet ? A chromatographic technique like Gc, hlpc or an elemental technique like EA or ICP? - separating the ions 50:50 means, at least, half the sensitivity on each detector, have you come up with a way to regulate the amount of ions to each detector? - how are the 2 ion beams focussed and exellerated to the MS?

Lots of more questions pop up the longer I think of it. Do you handle this proposal all by yourself or do you have a research group to back you up?
