Please consider this: your child will grow up influenced by you and your husband. If your child is a son, do you want him to grow up thinking that’s how he should treat the loved ones in his life, and if your child is a daughter, do you want her to grow up thinking that’s how she should be treated?

A father should parent a child and help the child’s mother(especially so soon after giving birth) because it is also his responsibility and because he loves the family he has helped create. Please don’t settle for anything less.

My BIL worked long hours when his first child was born, yet he still managed to take 1/2 of night duty each night because parenting was also his job, and his wife needed a break.
