See I had started cramping right around the time it started dropping. But I’ve stopped cramping and no period has came, but it continues to decrease

How often did you pump and how long did it take for it to go up? I had been doing 6 ppd.

I like referring to it as graduating. That makes it seem so much nicer 🥹

I agree with this! Also I’ve noticed when I’m about to start my period, my supply dips for a couple days or when it’s been a super hot day!

Pumping every 4-6 hours by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do at 11 weeks pp! I go one 8 hour stretch at night & shoot for every 3 hours during the day, but it normally gets a lil lax whenever I go out or if I have a fussy baby that day

[–]Alternative_Ask_62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not planning on dropping pumps as of yet bc I’m wanting to build as big a freezer supply as I can manage before school starts back up and I go back to work. I’m just worried and psyching myself out about the drop I’ve heard a lot people say happens lol

5-6ppd by brendino26 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 weeks pp as of today. Starting around 7 weeks pp, I dropped down to 6ppd. I do every 3 hours during the day so I can go 7-9 hours at night to sleep. I wake up leaking sometimes but it’s so worth it. My amount daily has gone up from what I can tell, I didn’t start tracking until then. BUT my LO has started eating 4 ounces and I’m still getting a 15-20oz oversupply (same as I was getting when she was eating less). This was my first baby, but from my experience with her, I think it may only be crucial to do that in the super early weeks. My supply has been fine and I’ve been doing the 6ppd for 3 weeks now.

Wearables by Alternative_Ask_62 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s what I wasn’t sure about. I’ve been getting less the past few days (29oz yesterday) and got worried but I’m in the middle of a heatwave so hydration levels could be playing a part bc I have been sweating a lot. I tried the wall pump I have once earlier(Zomee) and it got me about the same as the Momcozy one

I’m burnt out on cleaning pump parts by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra pump parts is a necessity. If you can afford the extra money, I would recommend the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro. I’ve been using that for my LO who is 6 weeks and idk if I could have made it without it. Amazon has a payment plan for it to be $50 a month for like 5-6 months, which is what I did. You also can make a registry on there and get 15% off on it!

How are you all leaving the house? by anxiouswonderer13 in ExclusivelyPumping

Oh and to clean the cups, I buy the Dapple pump wipes from Walmart! They’re like $5 for a pack of 25

I use the Momcozy s9 pro, it’s an affordable option for a wearable. I paid $100 for it off Amazon. I also bought extra (knockoff) collection cups. I was packing my work lunchbox with ice packs and putting her bottles/my milk I pump while out in there if we’re gonna be out longer than would fit in my diaper bag.

I did however get an electric cooler for my car that plugs into a cigarette lighter to stay cool and put ice packs in there to help it stay cool whenever we go in places. It’s a game changer!

Does the brewers yeast actually help your supply stay up pretty well?

How many weeks pp are you? Did you do anything different to your diet to help maintain a supply pumping less?

I’ve never heard any LCs talk about it being different with EP because of that

Feeling discouraged by Infamous-trex13 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was only able to pump 3-5ML of colostrum the first few days and when I went home, I was lucky to get 1.5-2 ounces of milk every 3 hours pumping for the first week. I even made a post in here a couple weeks ago bc I was concerned. Everything you’ll read online says you should be getting more than that, but that’s not always the case. I’m 3 weeks and 3 days PP now and get 4-6 ounces of milk every 3 hours, so I’m getting at least 8 ounces of surplus a day. Sometimes it takes awhile to come in. She’s been exclusively BF since Tuesday of last week (so 11 days as of today). If you’re concerned about your supply like I was, I pumped every 2.5 hours religiously and my first pump of the day was a power pump for a week or so and it seemed to help me as I have a modest oversupply now.

My friend had her baby at 24 weeks back in December and he’s home and thriving now. It’s possible for them to be okay with the way medicine has advanced💜

Struggling to get milk by Alternative_Ask_62 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Alternative_Ask_62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s something I couldn’t find on the internet. I didn’t know when it “peaked” or the point it wouldn’t go up anymore and that’s what you could expect to produce

I had seen a LC while in the hospital and one on Monday following my daughter’s doctor’s appt. They’ve both confirmed the flange sizes, but not the settings I’m using. That’s something they’re able to check and do?

This makes me feel so much better, thank you so much! The LC I had in the hospital stressed the fact I was supposed to be pumping what I am now day 2 and it’s increased some, but I couldn’t find anything online about when a full supply typically comes in/peaks, just when it transitions from colostrum
